A question that came up on another board
On a hockey board on which I post there are a number of Cowboy haters and even one lone Raider fan. He was yapping about our receiving corps being crap and I responded that at least we do not patrol the old folks' homes for WRs like the Raiders. He likes to refer to the Cowboys as "Cowfags" so of course I had to call the Raiders the Gayders but I digress.
Anyway, he said yeah but you would cream your jeans if Tim Brown played for the Cowfags. I said nah, he is not as good as our top three anymore as he is too old.
Needless to say, other Cowboy haters came out and basically told me I am nuts that Brown is a hall of famer, Keyshawn is a neverwas, Bryant a troublemaker and Glenn useless.
What do you all think. Would an old Tim Brown be better than our top three receivers?

Why? Why do you do this on a Hockey board? I would think that people here would get upset at people bringing up some other sport if it were on the main board.
I sense an ulterior motive behind this.

There is a football side. The main board is a hockey board but it has sub boards like this one does.

I see.
As far as the WR situation.....does 1 (Tim Brown) = 3 (Our WR's) Maybe in the past. But Brown is too old now.

Tim Brown USED to be a brilliant WR. This is probably his last year. I think he can still be effective in certain packages, etc., but I don't think he's a top quality number 1 or 2 wideout anymore.

In his prime yes
Now he is just an old broken down WR who is average he could not produce anymore than Keyshaw has the last few years
Nothing more nothing less
Funny they can call Bryant a trouble maker all they want but he has still produced decent number his rookie year and last year. Comapred to there wonder boy Porter
4 years
99 Catches 1275 yards 10 tds
In two years are trouble maker has put up 83 catches 1283 yards 8tds
Is Tim Brown a hof I say yes is he an upgrade over keyshaw at this point in his career hell no.

Brown was damn good in his prime. However, I would not trade him for the currently troubled Bryant at this point. (IMO Bryant will snap out his funk and take care of business). I have much respect for T. Brown's career accomplishments. Time has passed him by though.

I wouldn't give up any one of our recievers for Tim Brown.
Terry Glenn can still separate, Key is a blocking possession reciever and Bryant has youth and great potential.
It's really a ludicrous question that guy's who are really focused on another sport (Haaaaaacccckeey) would propose simply to annoy the trolling Cowboys fan.
