Two Players that cowboys is interested in?
The Cowboys may be interest in Chad Eaton Defensive Tackle that recently got released by Seahawks and was scheduled for a visit a couple of weeks before Training Camp. Chad Eaton also mention the Cowboys was one of his five possibilities that he could sign with because of Parcells and the team organization. Another team was Falcons, Ravens, Redskins, and the Texans.
He said he love Dallas.
Cowboys will express interest in Rod Woodson
With Darren Woodson going down and possibly missing 7 to 8 weeks after surgery the Cowboys may call Rod Woodson in for a visit and maybe a one or two year deal could be worked out. This is not meaning that Darren Woodson would be moved to a back-up it means that Rod would be the type of player that split time with Woodson for he won't have to carry the whole load at strong safety.
If Woodson so happens to sign the dotted line he will probably be a free saftey some of the time while Roy Williams split time and still have his own time with Both Woodsons....
To me it sounds like The Young Boy Roy is going to be the youngin of the old heads of the teams...lol

I hope neither of them show up in Dallas, but especially Woodson. I would be seriously confused after avoiding aging vets all offseason that they start adding them like crazy now.

Is this a report you saw on television/radio? Is this from the Internet somewhere? Speculation on your part?

Yep... and until Woody gets back Roy could play his natural position... of course Woodson was originally a DB... and a darn good one... he is very intelligent and could probably play FS or SS...
I do have concerns about the knee though...

actually, rod would be an excellent signing
we have 2 strong safeties right now and we sacrifice pass coverage with both of them. rod is better at that than both of them

We've waited, and now we have plenty of cap room. What is the issue with bringing in a proven vet, who we sign to a 1 yr. contract? This money is cleared on next years cap, and they can help some of our young guys out. Heck, they could really help us out this year, and our push to go futher in the playoffs than last year.
I can see nothing but postive things in adding proven players to this team. Even if most feel they are over the hill.

Nothing wrong with more veteran leadership.
SBs with Pittsburgh, Balt(?), and Oakland.
Made that top 50 or 100 NFL greatest players list.
You want guys like this on your side when you are trying to stop the other team in the 4th quarter of a big game.
Even though he isn't nearly the player he once was, he could still help if used properly.

I don't want either. Let's keep the young guns and suffer thru the growing pains this year rather than delay or slow the learning curve.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I could definitely see Chad Eaton coming to the Cowboys
He is a big body 6'3" 303 pounds. Although he is a bit long in the tooth at 32 years old.
His first year in the league was spent on the 1996 Patriots Team that made it to the Suberbowl but lost to the Packers. That happenned to be the last year that Parcells coached the Pats.
So Parcells and Eaton have some history. I'm betting Eaton is on our roster by the end of the week.

Tony Casillas was pretty good for us in his 30's...
