Default Another Parcells rumor?

This is an excerpt from a Jim Reeves column in the Star-Telegram the other day http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/sports/football/13572948.htm :

There are his own health issues, which Parcells would rather not talk about. But he had heart bypass surgery years ago and has had at least one minor incident with his heart since he came to the Cowboys three years ago.

Has this one every been heard before?

Amazing how that extra money calms the heart. Seriously, though, no, never heard it either.

...T.O. in Dallas. That guy will give any HC a heart incident.

Probably happed when we were trying a FG.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Making light of heart problems should never be funny but I spit out my pepsi when I read that, good one.

BP didn't get a huge raise. He got a tiny raise percentage-wise. He signed for around what the top paid coaches were getting in '03 - his new deal keeps him at that same level.

Some of y'all are acting like he took Jerry for a ride and got a sweet new deal. He got what amounts to a cost of living increase. If y'all could do math you wouldn't see an extra 2.5 million over 2 years as a huge increase over his 4.2ish million a year deal.

Heard about heart problems before & maybe a factor he considered when dealing with his younger brother's recent death. Also probably misses his family cause they not nearby and he doesn't get spend lot of time with them as an NFL HC, particularly of the Cowboys.

Don't have a problem with his raise. It's coming out of Jerry Jones' purse and doesn't count against the cap. So who cares. Frankly I think Parcells will stay the 2 years particularly if the Cowboys show significant improvement in 06. Winning NFC East title with record of 12-4 certainly is doable if we pick up a couple good players in FA & the draft.

Heart problems don't go away. There's also no indication of seriousness. It could be as minor as an irregular heartbeat due to a virus or as major as an MI. I suspect if it were serious we'd all have known about it.
