...together a stat of the season of misses for kickers, but this year in my recent memory seems to be one of the worst.

...be fair to Mike though, it was 46 yards. Some of the Dallas kicks were under 35 yards - those are real hard lessons to swallow.

... My post is in reply to all the posts clamouring for an accurate kicker. I think Vanderjagt's % speaks for itself.
The kicker isn't the only solution as shown by Vinatieri's miss yesterday. Please refer to my contributions to the post about Steve Hoffman.

...who may be beyond Steve's expertise, but it doesn't mean a good special teams coach who focuses on the mental aspect of the kicking game couldn't help him focus.

He is the most accurate kicker in NFL HISTORY lol I say he has done pretty good for himself. he missed a 46 yard kick. Its not like he missed a chipshot

...the kick, he really missed contact on the ball. It's not like it just missed, he really missed. The pressure got to him and he mi**** the ball. All purely focus.

So he was able to focuse on every kick this year except this one, So he needs a kicking coach? He is the most accurate kicker in the NFL, he missed. He will get past it and back to hitting 90% next year
