Jerruh likes Papa John's. Hey at least we'll have a little variety at the games now.

Bill is talking about Flozell Adams now. He says he talks to Flozell about being the "Best" player in football. He says he has already seen enough out of Flozell to know he can be a Top 3 player.

Says the TE position is the key to the run and pass game. If TEs dont step up, then we wont run or pass the ball well.

Carson has a sore knee and says he is trying to get Wiley some experience in the system, along with other players.

Went on for about 5 minutes on a Zimmer love fest. Jerry and BP encouraged him to explore Nebraska. Doesn't want the Cowboys to hold anyone back from opportunity. Great coach. Perfectionist. Talked about storied tradition of Nebraska. Great opportunity. Jerry did the right thing upping his salary. His young assistants help energize him (Zimmer, Carthon, Haley).

Keyshawn is a great listener. Will talk your ear off when messing around but when it comes down to business he's a great listener. Stays on top of guys like him to keep raising their expectations for themselves.

He's harder on Flozell now than he was last year. Now that BP's seen how good he can be he wants even more. Doesn't know if he can be the best LT, but definitely among the top 2-3. He knows that. Responds well to challenges. Talking to him about Kearse already. Flozell is getting ready for that challenge already.

Mentioned a position (may have been TE). Told JJ we've drafted 2 so far and we're going to draft another one next year.

Dixon doing very well. Lots of things he doesnt know. Eager, Tough, and Determined. He says Dixon likes football.

When asked about Witten's broken jaw, he says Mark Bravaro had a similar injury and didnt miss a game, so that was his standard (pleased with Witten playing).

Parcells:
  • It's important that WR's be able to play ST
  • Randall Williams play an important part on ST... that is why he is here
  • Witten needs to improve his blocking... he does everything else well
  • Zimmer reminds BP of himself when he was young
  • Zim and BP have a great communication line going this year... they now understand each other well
  • Zim does a great job... needs to not evaluate talent so quickly and he is working with him on that... from an instant evaluator to a 2 year evaluator
  • Zim is a great game coach... is on top of everything that happens
  • Zim stayed last year because he decided he wanted to be a pro coach rather than college coach
  • JJ wanted to keep him and they upped his salary to stay... and rightfully so

GEEZ... enough about Zim already... get to the players... the media keeps asking about a COACH... what knuckleheads...
  • There are some problems on the D and they are being addressed
  • Blizting LB's are a temporary fix... we have to do different things this year
  • WR are among the best BP has coached Did I hear that right?
  • Key is a great listener and a hard worker... he WANTS to be good
  • I am very hard on the good ones... Flo, Roy, Terence, LA... I want them to know the feeling of being the best
  • BP was all over Flo before practice even started this morning
  • His expectations of the good ones are higher than their own... they need to see themselves as HE sees them
  • Told Flo he is not settling for less than he is capable of... get with the program or I will be a pain in his side
  • Flo can be the best OT in the game or at least top 3
  • I saw how good Flo can be... so now I am even harder on him
  • I tell Flo I don't want a particular player bothering the game plan on Sunday... make sure it doesn't happen
  • Bradie and Shanle are going to be in the mix
  • I expect TE's to play hurt... Bavarro is the standard I measure them by...

Sorry guys... people kept coming in to my office... I missed some things...

I have not listened to all of the Press Conferences, but what do we know about the Full Back position?

Besides some college info, I really dont know much about Lousaka Polite. I only have a small amount of information about Darian Barnes.

Good job, guys...

One small thing to add... At the very end, someone asked about Newman at WR... Parcells almost acted like he didn't know what the guy was talking about... The reporter clarified that Newman was running patterns with coach Haley, "Is that just something he's doing on his own?" Parcells made sort of a disgusted scoffing sound... But then said, "Well, I don't feel obliged to tell you everything"...

Maybe they're really giving him a look, hard to tell without seeing the facial expressions...
