Don't Overspend JJ
Yes we have plenty of cap room but I would rather use it to extend Witten, Roy, and Newman. This years FA crop looks really weak IMO. After TO and Edge, where is the talent? I don't want to sign people just for the sake of signing.

I think I'd be happy with them adding just McGinest in FA, if they thought they could get WR, FS, and o-line help in the draft. I want somebody to replace Dat though...not his position, but his experience.

Even the skins offence was playing better when Lavar was starting...The Oline looked way better and Portis was running his a s s off...The Defense acualy went from one of the lowest teams n turnovers to winning games every other week on defence because of key turnovers....I want Arrigton
My wish list is a expensive one but if there is no cap next year it will not matter
1) T.O
2)Lavar Arrington
3)Adam "Mr.Clutch" Vanetari
We would be spending about the same amount of money as last year...We cant have Al Singelton as our Veteran Leader on Defence, we need someone with entensity!!!!

We have to sign a kicker. It's not even an option. So there is a mill or two.
We are left with the following needs, and not all of them can be met in the draft:
ILB to replace Dat
OLB to replace Fujita
FS to replace Davis
RT to replace Rob P.
FB to replace Polite
TE to replace Campbell
Those are guys we have to get. We can't get all of them in the draft, so we are going to have get some of them in FA.
Of course, if you want a winning team, you are going to have churn the backups and get better backups at NT, OL, LS, WR.
So we have to do something in FA.

Agree 100%.
I think we've got to get at least 4 guys in FA, and we need to have atleast 3-4 contributors via the Draft. And we'll probably still have a hole or two left, but that's the case with all NFL clubs.

Im going to be honest here. I don't want a freaking thing to do with TO.
No man that dances on the star deserves to wear it!
Secondly, Arrington is a beast, and this defense would be very intimidating with James, Williams and Ware roaming around making tackles.
I mean there are some hard hitters in that sentence!
Draft: 1-Oline, 2-Oline, 3-receiver, 4 LB, 5 Free Safety

Along with Edge (who I don't think has been cut yet) and Owens (ditto), Hutchinson and Bentley top the list plus whoever else is gutted if the new CBA falls through.
I can't imagine having signed Alexander that Seattle would be able to match an aggressive offer for Hutchinson. Hutch and Bentley are young and good, whoever gets either or both is going to be very happy.
There's a ton of role-players also available can't possibly name them all and very good veterans like Moulds, Bruce, Fabini, and Mawae.
