Until this year I thought kickers were overrated. They don't really practice, they don't get hit often, and they play a total of ten seconds in any given game. Can someone breakdown how much a kicker makes per kick?
However, I believe that we spend extra money on an accurate (clutch) kicker this year. Ironically, we won't need it. This year we will either win big or lose big. A kicker will not even be a factor this year IMO.
But to answer your question: Vanderjagt(sp?). Why? I'm not smart enough to answer that one.
 THANKS JUKE!!

Brown. The V guys would cost to much. We don't need a $3 mil kicker.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
