Default If Your Jerry Do you go After Vince Young?

I would, I really think Vince Young is going to be a GreatQb.If hes sliding like there saying he is, and you can say move down to the 8th or 9th pick and get him I would.

Then I would have him learn under bledsoe for his Rookie Season and take over in his second.

The only way you take him is if he slides down to the spot we are already in.

We do not need to trade up right now.

Acutally we are better off trading down at this point IMO.

I still think the Titans take Young at #3.

Nope. Not even the least bit interested at this point. Finish building the Super Bowl contender.

Especially considering Young's relationship with Steve McNair and the fact that McNair is on the downslope of his career.

If I'm Jerry, no. He hasn't played minor league baseball.

haha, I dont know but i left so impressed by young in the college title game. I havent seen someone so cool and calm under pressure like that since Montana. I think there's something very special about him, when he gets on the field you can see how confident he is, that no matter what his team is going to win and hes going to lead them there.

I d love to have him, even if he sits under bledsoe for two seasons id love to get him.

not only yes, but hell yes. qb of the future.
"I could've done a $2 billion takeover (in another industry) with the capital I put in the Dallas Cowboys," he says. "I really could see (myself as) the idiot who had something real good, who blew it all to coach the Cowboys. I just knew that was going to be my legacy." Jerry Jones 9/14/2012

Depending on the cost, I would be for it. Unlike most I think he is gonna be good to great at the next level, something in the Randall Cunningham mold. Having our next franchise QB in the folds trumps whatever 3 players we would be able to get in the first two rounds of this and the following year's draft, giving our current talent level, and how it should affect the position in which we draft in the coming years. IMO thats worth the risk.

I think it depends on where he is falling. If he gets past Arizona (Which he won't, but for the sake of argument, let's pretend), he may well fall into the Cowboys' lap. That's tremendous value at the 18 slot. They could draft him and groom him for a couple years, for when after BP leaves (Think Pennington in NY) Likewise, what are trade-down possibilities? Whether you are interested in VY or not, that's a great position to be in.

Now, would you trade into the top 10 to get him? I don't think so. That's giving up a lot of draft picks for a player with some legitimite question marks. VY has potential, but potential and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee.

If he falls into that ~15 range, do you move up a few slots? This is where you get into that gray area, imo. What are the teams current needs? Does the 18 slot need to yield an immediate starter? Do you have faith in Henson (I don't)?
