Sean Ryan is the big unknown here. How BP and the staff really feel about could impact any decision on drafting a TE.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I believe that he was on the practice squad at one point. If they really felt that highly of him they wouldn't have exposed themselves to losing him, especially with some of the bottom feeders on the roster.
And yes, I know that some real quality players were on various teams' practice squads at one point in there careers but most weren't on a team bereft of talented depth like some of the recent Cowboys' squads.

I don't, Jerry said he wants to take an OT because of how much money they get in Free Agency

his rookie year when we had Witten, Campbell and Jeff Robinson as our TEs, last year he was put on IR for the year I believe, Dallas is really high on him, bigger than both and a tad slower than Allen

Bad knees? I think that was his first injury on his knee and he was still making plays on that bad knee. He should be healthy and runs faster than Ed Reed.

We will probably pick up an Olineman in the mid to late rds..
I would love to see a NT selected as well, as it is a
position of need.
FS ...... we better select one.
This draft is loaded w/LB talent......we will take full advantage of it.

I agree but we are still paper thin at WR but none are first round talent and maybe 2 are second round talent

How does TE rank as a higher need over guard? We have TWO guys that can start at TE, while I'm not even sure we have 1 guy who can start (and do well) at guard. IF Rivera is healthy, then we have one solid guard IMO. Gurode was re-signed to battle with Johnson IMO, not play guard.
