Default Kudos to NFL Network

They are showing highlights of every player drafted after each pick, unlike ESPN. The highlights on Hatcher allows you to see that he is a Chris Canty type, and is disciplined at keeping his outside assignment while stabilizing his blocker. The pick threw me off also, but he is rated in the top 100 players for both Gosselin and Kiper. If you saw the highlights, some of you may feel better.

The NFLN's coverage was outstanding. I flipped to ESPN for about ten seconds (just long enough for Irvin to make me want to vomit with his loud boorish act) and then back to NFLN.

Much more talking about the player and not themselves.

And Hatcher's highlight package did look good.

How did Jason Witten do as a commentator?

What did Witten say about Fasano - that's what I want to know.

tell you what, i cant stand the NFL Network continually showing Joey Porter, and him telling us how he was all set to be a cowboy, and how glad he is that the Steelers took him.

The thing that surprised me the most was Dallas didnt draft an Oline today but based on how far they all slid that might turn out to be a good thing. This is just a weak year for Oline and WR. Fletcher definately adds another possible playmaker to the front 7 and anything that can help the pass rush is welcome in my book.

Witten says he is going to give the rookie a hard time in training camp. Carry those pads, and get me something to drink!!!!

One thing that drives me crazy about ESPN.
In the 3rd round they are still talking about Reggie Bush.
Its like they focus on 4 or 5 players and No one else is in this draft...

That killed me too. I'm recording the Cowboys picks and they said nothing after the Hatcher pick because of the Bush interview.

And it is the same stuff over and over again.
I could almost understand if they were breaking a new story but its just what we heard all day long and in the meantime several drafted player go by with just the bottom line to tell us whats going on...
AS a fan I much rather have info on these 3rd rounders over the 5 guys that we knew everything about...Give us some new info.
NFL Network did do a better job at this, Not great but better.

No freakin kidding. Just wait until today. We are on the clock and they will showing the same VY or Reggie Bush highlights they wore out yesterday during our pick.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

yep, I liked the NFLN presentation better. Mayock is a bit difficult to listen to, and Jason Witten isn't the best at speaking, but he hasn't been doing it that long either. He actually kindof reminds me of Brent Jones (but not that bad).

ESPN is putting style over substance.
ESPN would rather have comments from the million analysts they have then give true football fans what they really want, info and highlights of thier draft picks.
Give me the meat and potatoes of the NFL network anyday.
If ESPN could remember that the draft is not about the production of the draft and more about the information about the players they would put a better show together.
That runway show intro ESPN did was so over-produced it was stupid.
ESPN needs to remember we want to hear about the players drafted and see them in action instead of them criticizing that first pick all day long.
IF you watched ESPN yesterday you would think that only first the rounders are going to make an impact in the NFL the way they covered it.
