I hope I am wrong about Coleman and Davis getting abused, but we will see.

Failing to address FS at this point is absolutely ridiculous. Fasano and Hatcher are ok picks, but I feel they both could have been available on the second day, and we really missed out on a great playmaking FS. Coleman is not the answer either. We will all be calling for his head by the middle of the season. Hopefully we can salvage a little bit here and still get Watkins from Florida St, our last chance of getting a play making FS this year.

The only other option other than getting by with second rate FS play this year would be a trade for an Ed Reed type player, but I don't see that happening.

Wrong and wrong. They both would have been gone before the draft ended last night. BTW they are much more than "ok" picks.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I wasn't saying "ok" as in there talent level, but ok as in what we needed the most compared to who else was on the board at those picks.

Well, the Cowboys finally drafted a Free Saftey... I hope this guy pans out for us and AT LEAST makes Keith Davis and Marcus Coleman WORK HARD to earn that starting Free Saftey spot alongside Roy Williams.

He was one of the S's that Cowboy fans were talking about the Cowboys drafting... well we got him!

GO COWBOYS!!!

No need to worry about FS ... plenty of them on the 2nd day, as shown by the Watkins pick.

Next pick in the 6th round??? Another Rob Petitti???

I certainly hope so. We could use another hardworking, dependable OL we can count on for years.

We got a NT to backup Ferguson with the "Petiti" pick... that should help us with depth there... now, we need to close out the draft with a couple of OL... some more depth there (like someone like Petiti) would be wonderful.

Overall, I really like this draft and the players we picked up... hopefully things will come together better this season and set us up for the future and beyond. I expect the Cowboys to make the playoffs as well as make a run in the playoffs this season... of course, the Super Bowl is the goal in the near future... for myself, I expect to make a run at the Super Bowl EVERY season!!!

GO COWBOYS!!!
