that would have been nice I agree. Ironic that listening to the ticket, right before we picked they said beware of us going TE. I wonder if they knew something?

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Yeah I kinda had my eye on this guy also..but I think he was already taken...a little help from someone who knows

purely speculation on my part but it is not out of the question...
Everoyone on earth knew we were taking an OLB in the first. Even if people knew we were going 2 TE sets it wouldn't have meant we were looking at one in pick two, much less specifically targeting Fasano. There was absolutely no need for the secrecy.

Maybe... but it costs a lot more to move up in the first than it does in the second... like I said..it may not be the case...but I like surprises

From the dreaded "sources"

Ko Simpson made a 10 on the wonderlic and teams really doubt he is capable of making the defensive calls needed....

Giles and Watson are just fat guys that lack desire..

(personal note dept.)

I really like the idea of running a double te system...it really helps in both the run and the pass/protection department...

I think Dallas has been brilliant so far in their drafting all though they have not selected a single draftee I have earmarked...

I am perhaps more excited about the future of the Cowboys then I have been in a long while....

I have always called them as I see them friend...it is just that some focus on my negatives comments more than my positive comments... In fact a lot of the times my positive comments get like 1 or 2 posts while the negative ones go on sometimes in the hundreds of posts...

Denver took a TE 9 picks later. Maybe they were afraid Denver wanted their man. Other then the people in the Cowboys war room, who knows?

If Jones let us know before the draft the Boys' intent to change the offense to a base 2-TE set then he would have tipped off the rsst of the division as well. Keepping this change-in-philosophy under lock-and-key was briallinat in that our divisional opponetns are plannig their defensive rosters through the offense and draft based on defending a 2005 Cowboy offense we won't be runing in 2006. If the switch to the two-TE offense works out talent-wise for us then our opponents may have serious mismatch problems in defending us due to not having the right personnell to do it successfuly.
