Great draft
We had to take Hatcher when we did. New Orleans were gonna take him in top of 4th. Prototypical 3-4 lineman don't come around every day, when you find them you have to snatch them up. It's true we could have had Justice but we traded down to acquire another pick and right now we do have Fabini and we do not have a second pass catching TE who can also block. Besides Justice is not without his flaws, He's considered soft, That's the last thing we need is another "soft" USC lineman.

I like the idea of having depth when Ellis is gone, but what the OL? I guess the staff really is more content with the line than we are.

I would hardly call this a GREAT draft.
Heck, if we land 5 starters on Sunday, then we can call it a Great Draft.
For now, it's a questionable draft at best.

Questionable is right, definately not the direction I would of gone. ESPECIALLY with the third rounder.

I feel our O line will be adequate all things considered. Any lineman we would have gotten in late 2nd or 3rd round will not be any better then what we already have. If you are talking about the future then we can draft one in 1st rd next year that will contribute immeadiatly.

Hatcher is a scarce commodity. (Prototypical 3-4 DE) All other players available are a dime a dozen

Questionable at best. I really don't know how to take that comment. I feel you are the type to "question" everything. We really didn't have as many holes as some think.
In hindsight we did have 2 major holes. Playmaking OLB and 2nd TE. We addressed those needs.
It's true we could upgrade O line and free saftey. but those positions are not "holes" we have adequate players that we have signed in free agency

We have holes that were bigger than 2nd TE. Like OL and, oh, i don't know, FREE SAFETY maybe? FS is the biggest hole on this team after the Off-season signings. And what did we do? pass up FS after FS and now all the decent ones are all but gone in the top of the 4th round. This draft sucks. Nothing wrong with the guys we got, but we didnt fill our biggest needs.

If we're switching to 2-TE sets, then I'd say 2nd starting TE was by far the biggest need we had.
