I dont think I will like him as much as Jerry ...... he seems less personable ..... not as good of a salesman. Hopefully Jerry will be around for a good while.

I agree I think Stephen Jones will be a very good owner and while he may not be as hands on I do think he will be actively involved with the team. In the mean time I'm a fan of Jerry, no doubt he has made mistakes but that happens to everyone out there. Jerry will never be content with anything less than winning and has shown he will do what ever he has to, to win.

No, I just want him to retire.
I think Stephen will not be as meddlesome as his father. Or at least, I hope that's the case.

No, I don't want Jerry to die, it's just a fact that "someday" Stephen will be the man in charge. While I like Jerry's passion and salesmanship, his hands on attitude has cost us several years of mediocroty.
I look at Mr. Rooney in Pittsburgh as the exact type of owner I would like. He's dedicated to winning and dedicated to his coaches and personnel. The Steelers have been one of the most consistent franchises in the league for the past 10-15 years. They lose big name FA's and replace them with unknowns who proceed to step up their game see Wllie Parker!). The Steelers are a consistent playoff team with a chance at the big game every year. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they won it again this year.

You mean, Mike Lynn and Hershel Walker gave us three Super Bowls.
Jerry Jones hasn't done squat without those players, other than pathetically waste them.

Eddie you are truly demented.
Who made that trade?
Who fired a legend and hired a nobody to take his place?
Who do you think wheeled and dealed the Vikes to make such a dumb trade?
your hatred of Jerry is beyond stupid.
victory is ours

Jimmy made the trade.
My dislike of Jerry Jones the GM stems from sitting through 9 years without a playoff win.
Most GM's would have been fired 7 years ago.
I have nothing against him as an owner ... he should stay owner.

I see 2 areas of improvement with Stephen Jones:
1) the draft (none of those hunch picks by Jerry Jones if someone like Parcells isn't in town to keep the GM/owner in check)
2) the salary cap & salaries (always sounds like Stephen is the one who gets the financial details done and keeps the team in check with the cap, so maybe it will really just stay the same)
I think the one area where the Cowboys will suffer without Jerry are free-agent signings. Jerry is the one who can bring in the big name players and use that ol' oil tycoon charisma to get er dun. I get the feeling during some of those press conferences that some of the players feel star struck with Jerry by their side and the Cowboys logo behind them. Anyone who saw those 90's Super Bowls on TV still remember Jerry and a dynasty.
Not that any of this is relevant. It's all second-hand. We're not behind the scenes and see who does the most work.

Sorry Eddie but your logic is poor yet again. Jerry, as owner has delivered 3 SB titles and was active in the trade negotiations. If you place blame on Jerry for the last decade you also must give him some credit for the 3 SB titles as well.
