Met Charlie Waters in the Dallas airport as a kid. I thought my Mom was gonna faint. It was kind of embarrasing.

I met Walter Payton a few year back, i know he never played for the Cowboys but I tell the story anyway! He was signing autographs at a Indy Car race, he was a team owner. He would sign an autograph and then he would whisper a joke something in the people ear, he wouldn't just sign something and walk away he was real cool. When it was my turn he signed something for me he was going to tell me something, but I beat him to it! i looked at him then I looked at the signature then I looked at him again and said, damn i thought you were Emmitt Smith! He put me in a head lock and smacked me in the head and laughed his *** off! He was too cool and such a nice guy!

Met Bill Bates in Washington D.C. at the players hotel in 1984. Have a picture with him somewhere. Will post it if I can dig it up.

Yes I did and my feet didn't touch the ground for a month. My then 5 year old brother were just like Ralphie and his little brother from the movie, A Christmas Story. The thing that surprised me was the fact that he was no taller than my dad, who is 5 ft 8 in, yet in my child's eyes, he was 10 feet tall.

Roy--he was by far the friendliest.

That's why I like Roy so much, he seems to have that regular guy attitude.

I'm going to try and meet Deion Sanders at one of the Austin Wranglers games and maybe get his autograph. I think I'm a little old for that, but I love Deion's charisma.

I thought I saw Bob Breunig once while I was in Texas, it was at the DFW airport...but I felt silly going up and asking "are you Bob Breunig?"
He was a player I respected alot when he played.

Only one I've seen around is T.O., he walked into the sports apparel store I worked at in Concord (15 min from SF) when I was 16 and he was still a 49er (it was 2001). Didn't talk to him... no real reason to, I hated the guy. But he had 3 super-hot Afghan chicks with him and one of them bought a keychain, so of course I talked to her.

I have had the pleasuring of meeting a couple of players. Walt Garrison when he was riding in the rodeo I got to meet him through my uncle who was organizing the event and was able to meet Walt at my uncle’s house for dinner. I have also got to meet and do business with Robert Newhouse when my dad owned his jewelry store, Newhouse was having his SB ring resized and my dad did the work for him.

I have met Bob Lilly, Randy White, Mel Renfro, Jason Witten, Dat, Dexter Coakley, and Julius Jones. All very cool and very nice, but Randy was the best. He didn't mind talking with me and telling me stories. And he still is built like the Manster. His arms are huge.

a little bit before the 04 draft, I met Dat at an autograph signing at the WalMart in Waco. It was a mere coincidence that he was there because as a college student and a somewhat impatient person, I usually go there around midnight. I wanted to ask him about who he thought we should draft with the two picks but when time came around I was kind of hurried through because I was the last person to meet him and went dumbstruck as I shook his hand that felt like a tree. nice guy though. sad to see him go

Related to Cornell Green...yes I'm name dropping, who introduced me to "Too Tall" Jones.
Met Greg Ellis at Chuck E Cheese in Grapevine. All stories on him are true, very nice family guy.
Saw Flozell at Da Car Wash...very nice Escalade.
Former Cowboy reserve Shaun Smith...His daughter is a part of my program.
Met Rocket Ismail this past weekend...Very cool cat. Easy to talk to. Signed autographs and gave receiveing tips to the kids.
Last but not least...Rowdy himself.

I've been fortunate enough to meet a lot of them ... a few of them via phone only.
The highlights, I guess, were talking photography and football with Bob Lilly at his dark room and gallery; getting 30 minutes with Chan Gailey at Valley Ranch; and watching part of an NBA game at a hotel room with Drew Pearson and Tony Hill.
Pretty much all of them have been very polite. Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Dan Reeves and Mike Ditka were probably my favorite visits. I've also talked (briefly) to Tom Landry, Jerry, Campo, Lacewell, Dat Nguyen, Greg Ellis, Bill Bates, Jim Jeffcoat, Darrin Smith, Ken Norton Jr., Gene Stallings, Randy Hughes, Michael Irvin, Eugene Lockhart, Manny Hendrix, Derrick Lassic, Tommie Agee, Butch Davis, Doug Cosbie, Bob Breunig ...
"That's the fastest-running, slowest-walking guy I've ever seen."
