T.O. impresses
By doing as Parcells had asked and showing up 10 days prior to mini camp, T.O. demonstrated his committment to learning a new offense. But I would like to see him also participate in next weeks OTA sessions, which will show even more committment.

Would certainly expect him to be here for next week as well as this minicamp. Not sure exactly what gets done during OTAs but assume the QBs will be throwing to their WRs and, since TO unfamiliar with our passing game, he certainly needs to spend this time learning all he can as well as adjusting to Bledsoe's deliveries, etc. BTW: Exactly what does OTA stand for? Thanks.

Organized Team Activity. A very vague term to say the least.

They are basically what we used to refer to as Quarterback Schools. Which are really little different than a mini-camp with shells and shorts.

Those are called boat parties in Minnesota.

I think the only difference is that minicamp is mandatory while OTAs aren't.
Skins are in the middle of OTAs right now, we have ours before our minicamp June 16-18. OTAs are basically where the team gets broken up and reports to their coordinator for meetings (offensive and defensive). Then on the field, the players meet with their position coaches and do various speed and timing drills, practice and learn new plays, etc.
One example of a drill Gregg Williams uses with the defense is to put 3 cones at designated points on the field, then tell 4 guys to run after the cones, the guy that doesn't get the cone has to do extra pushups.
Its more a learning experience and building camraderie then anything else.

I'm sick of TO (on this board) already. I'll be glad when he really does something to talk about. The repetition is killing me.

Well, let's give TO this...he's doing more than Shockey & Burress are with the Giants. And more than 14 of the Packers are doing.
And yes, Sportsbabe, I agree with you--I'm tired of hearing about TO too! (Aren't I a hypocrite? )

Why are folks surprised that TO is already working hard. Working hard has never been his issue -- folks seem to forget that TO wasn't some highly touted college prospect -- he was a very raw 3rd round pick from a small school who worked like crazy to make himself into one of the league's best.
I've said it before -- if Randy Moss had half of TO's work ethic, he'd break 2000 yards a season every year.

Sometimes, we just can't help ourselves. I guess it's his animal magnetism.
I don't mind talking about him, but let's talk about him when he actually does something. Besides, I can't wait to see him in his Armour Wear. Now that'll be something to talk about, ya heard
