Oh Lord... Not again
.
Who's Not:
Kicker Mike Vanderjagt missed all three of his field-goal attempts from 33, 38 and 43 yards out. His leg seemed to lack an explosive punch.

When he starts shanking them in a preseason game, I get concerned.

I agree but in the meantime I wish he would start hitting these kicks, this is not a pressure situation and he should be able to handle this after all we are talking about a couple of kicks that were 33 and 38 yards.

Those are really hard field goals to make. Ask Cortez and Cundiff if you don't believe me.

I am glad we have Vanderjagt. He is more accurate than Vinateri. And Better. At least by every single stat out there. Yet for some reason people want Vinateri.
Vanderjagt will be fine. I will worry when he starts missing them for real. Not in TC and not in preseason. This guy has done awesome every single year period. Including last year. And you think he suddenly can no longer Kick?
Worry about our OL or FS. But our Field Goal Kicker is WAY improved over last year.

I dont understand. how can this guy go from being one of the most accuarte kickers in league and because he's not kicking great in TRAINING CAMP, we should have signed Vintetari, because his QB put him in game winning situations. ( oh BTW vandy only has missed on in his entire career...to my knowledge)

Well we were not paying Cortez and Cundiff the same as we are Vandy. He needs to get it going. I agree not ready to panic just yet but it would be nice to see a few reports out of camp talking about how he is making some kicks

Everybody wants to come here! We're "America's Team." Just look at out excellent management--Landry and Schramm are high class... Wait, what year is it?
