Plus I didn't say TO was lazy. I do think he thinks way too much of himself though. Like he is above the team.

TO loves TO. And TO knows that if he doesn't practice then he isn't going to get the 80+ catches he wants.
Some of you act like he'd rather be on the bike than practicing -- and I doubt that is the case.
I do think he is being VERY cautious with the injury.

I am not worried in the least about this. Would you rather have this healed up or nag him for the rest of the season? Its not like this injury would keep him out of a game if it were the regular season.
Dez Bryant, Receiver. A man who's season is over. Gentlemen, the Cowboy's staff can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first super human receiver.
Dez Bryant will be that man. Better than he was before. Better.... Stronger..... Faster......

I thought we heard his MRI was negative, didn't we? So that would leave him at a "boo-boo."

Good for him, because it's probably the last thing he isn't.

NFL players must play tough but not when you can only play at a much lower level. Let's give it a few more days.

TO could so easily put all this to rest by just showing up and going half speed for one practice. that's what kills me. he just loves this attention too much.
i don't doubt he's hurt, i don't doubt he'll be ready - but i wanted to give this guy a chance to show he's a team player and he just won't practice.
and the media will never let it die...

What if he followed your guys' advice and "got the hell out there and practiced" and reaggravated his hammy, causing him to miss the start of the regular season and having it linger all year?
Look, the guy knows his body better than any of us do, and better than Bill does (speaking of Bill, I think you're all forgetting that he DID say that he was "erring on the side of caution" and that he's giving T.O. the "benefit of the doubt"... meaning, he's content with him not practicing right now, for the time being). T.O. wants NOTHING more than to have an amazing year and for the Cowboys to win it all, and he's doing what he thinks will give himself (and the team) the best chance to do that. If he's not confident about practicing with his sore hammy, he shouldn't practice. It's only August 15th!
He'll be back out there before the end of the week and may or may not play at New Orleans. Everybody needs to calm down.

Could it be...really be...that the local 103.3 hosts were right when questioning him last week?
Nahh - they're just trying to start trouble and create controversy

An MRI would reveal whether there was serious damage requiring something extreme like surgery or a 6 week rest. That's all an MRI tells you.
Last year an MRI came back negative on Spears' knee, were people calling for him to get back out there?

Sorness should not be keeping him out of practice for over a week either. We are not talking about a pull or tear all test showed that as negitive. We have others who have sorness as well but they have their cans on the field working. Glenn gets ripped by BP yesterday for missing but little TO can't deal with some sorness? He needs to get his butt on the field .

13,382,589 reporters questioned TO last week. odds are someone's gonna walk away with some semblence of being "right" to anyone looking for some semblence of their being "right".
and a radio talk show trying to create controversy - what the HELL is the world coming to!??!??!

No one has asked him to go balls out. Wrap it and participate. I don't give a rats rump if he plays any preseason games. Learn the offense and get orientated with your Qb.

It's good to see that finally the communal willing suspension of disbelief is coming to an end. Obviously TO could and should be practicing. Obviously, his injury does not appear to warrant 13-plus days off.
What's next? I like Mickey's theory that he'll practice very soon in order to play Monday night. Will BP bench him? Will TO respond with a nationally televised hissy fit?
Given TO's history, I would be surprised if this hamstring issue worked itself out without at least one temper tantrum -- after all, he wants those pretty much as much as he wants the ball.
And then, maybe, that will be that and TO will play nice...
Oh well, can't say we weren't warned...

Anquan Boldin and Steve Smith recently had the same injury (strained hammy). Anyone know if they're both back to practice or not? And how many practices have each missed?

Right. Spears reputation was untarnished. Find somebody else. That should take you about a year.

I really don't think you can compare those injuries if you don't know the severity of each.

1) So you're suggesting that by not going "balls out", he'd avoid the risk of reaggravating it? That's pretty sketchy.
2) "Wrap it up"? It's a hamstring, not an ankle.
