Mike & Mike On ESPN Radio: Superbowl Picks!
This morning on the Mike and Mike show they made their superbowl picks.
Mike Golic:
NFC Championship game: Cowboys Vs. Panthers
Superbowl: Colts Vs. Panthers
Superbowl Winner: Cannot remember because I did not care once the Cowboys were out of the equation.
Mike Greenburg:
NFC Championship game: Cowboys Vs. Bears (due to weak division and schedule for Bears)
Superbowl: Cowboys Vs. Steelers
Superbowl Winner: Cowboys
When asked about his mobility-
"When one of these running quarterbacks wins the Super Bowl, then I think that'll be a lot more valid."- Drew Bledsoe 2/23/05

I'm liking that. The range of disparity amongst sports reporters is amazing when it comes to the Cowboys. Anywhere from an out & out losing season and last place in the division to winning the big dance.
Not that any of this idle speculation means diddley, but it's nice to know at least some of them have put us into contention. Those who come in at the extreme low end of the spectrum I discount as Cowboy haters.
"Those young guys are freaks," he says. "They are big, physical and fast; they are phenomenal. Every time I talk about this defense, I have a smile on my face. I think we'll have an opportunity to be even better than we were in 2003."
Roy Williams talking about our much improved defense.

That's cool. I don't listen to their show so I don't know if they're respectable or not. I do tend to get annoyed at their polls on espn.com asking who should shut up though.

Mike Greenberg is the worst jinx out there. Everything he picks turns to mud. Bad omen.

That would work. We still owe them one.

We could be getting setup for a big let down.

Yep... Weren't the 'boys the chic SB pick last year?
Hopefully it's just the fans buying into the hype and not the players. Personally, I'm taking it one game at a time. Last year taught me that. Some games we should've won, we lost. Some games we should've lost, we won. And then there were the games that caused me to borrow CBZ40's heart pills.
It was just preseason, but the Minny game let me know that this team still has some warts and they still have to play the game.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Winning the Superbowl would be great, but the odds aren't good for any team really because of so many variables. The playoffs are another story...
I'm happy we have a team that looks promising and am ready to enjoy the road to getting there.

We've got to cut that mentality out. Hopefully Parcells has a better understanding of what we are capable of offensively and won't play so close to the vest. I've said it before, keeping games close in the NFL today is a 50-50 proposition at best. You have to go for it.

Actually the chic superbowl pick last year seemed to be the Seahawks.

Golich also predicted that Shawne Merriman would be Defensive Player of the Year. Greenberg countered that by mentioning Demarcus Ware.
