Default Offensive Line and other things about Jags game

Am I the only one who was actually impressed with the offensive line Sunday against the Jags? Bledsoe's problems with the interceptions was his own. Watching the game it looked like they held up and allowed Bledsoe to deliver the ball.
Now the fact that Bledsoe threw three interceptions and had a less than 50% completetion average was, I believe, Bledsoe's fault. How many times did we see on replay that TO was open running a great route?

This offense, I am not sure but it just seemed like it was just short quick outs and screens, nothing down the field. It seemed more west coast offense than a fully balanced offense.

Now saying all that about the Oline, Flozell did wear out as the game wore on. Is that lack of conditioning due to his recovering from injury, I don't know but I suspect it will get better.

The o-line wasn't too bad. It was more of Bledsoe sucking it up.

The Oline was one of many problems---it was overmatched somewhat. We will see it do better against lesser teams and struggle against good ones.

We just don't have enough guys who step up and make plays/blocks, etc. in crunch time on the team in general.

you can pick one and apply equal sorriness to it:

1) awful pass rush (as usual)
2) play of Bledsoe
3) play of OL, particularly run blocking
4) kicker, although his kickoffs werent bad...

plenty of blame to go around...I'm actually not surprised we struggled some offensively, but I am astonished that against a mediocre OL, a mediocre offense in general and a QB that has been easily sacked throughout his career that we couldnt mount any sort of pass rush after the first couple of series...its pathetic

I was happy with the O-Line's performance. Even though Flozell played poorly, Paul Spicer's play wasn't making a serious dent in the game. So other than being worried a bit about Flozell, I was pretty happy with the performance. However, I'll be watching and charting the game throughout the week to get a better idea as a lot of people are really griping about it. I could be wrong on my initial thoughts.

The OL wasn't that bad, but let me remind you Stroud was going less than full speed and was not the disruption he is when healthy.

If Stroud had caused trouble in the middle, things could have looked much worse.

I look at the bright side: With a little continuity and time the line can only get better. Gurode's performance alone was encouraging.

Our pass blocking was as good as can be expected. It wasn't Indy's line, but at least Peyton Manning steps into the pocket instead of staying in one spot and letting the D know where to go.

Our run blocking wasn't strong, mostly I put this on the guards and Sparano. I am becoming convinced that Sparano's blocking schemes are garbage.

I am also convinced that our OL is too big.

I thought the line played good until FLO gave up and got beat every other player.

After that Bledsoe was done!
