Default Portis says he practiced this week, just like he did last week

Clinton Portis says he practiced this week, just like he did last week.

He wasn't listed as having missed practice late last week, but was listed as having missed at least a "team portion" every day this week. Portis was surprised that he was downgraded to doubtful for Week 2. We suspect that if he says he can play on Sunday, he'll see some carries.

I dont really know know where sports illustrated got there official "portis is out" saying from. If portis is still listed as doubtful/questionable/or probable, he will play. Im just a little confused right now how half the people are reporting that he will be "out" for the game, while the other half is reporting that he is doubtful

I think he'll play. If Gibbs does sit him, I think he's doing the right thing. Let the dude get completely healthy. That's why you have Duckett and Betts even though neither has ever done anything other than been a #2 guy.

I think the confussion comes from he is offically listed as Doubtfull but Gibbs "supposedly" said he missed all the practices this week and if you don't practice you don't play. So it was taken that Portis is OUT considering JG said he didn't practice. See how easy that was now if you would have been a cowboy fan you'd have been smart enough to figure that out for your self...JK But I do think that is where the mix up is at.....

Well, i understand where the mixup is at, the thing I dont understand is why if gibbs said that, why all the media wouldnt list him as "out" for the game, instead of the half n half that we have right now.

I hope he does play. He is NOT the same player right now. Bring it on.

There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

Exactly. I think he is listed as 'doubtful' on NFL.com. Historically 'doubtful' players don't play, but I think he plays and gets 20+ carries. If Gibbs wasn't playing him he'd list him as 'Out'. It's a ruse. I believe it when I "don't" see it.

Gibbs is always lying about who is hurt and who is not.

Gibbs said, "players that don't practice, don't play."

But, Portis did practice. He just didn't participate in every drill.

I think he'll play equally as much or more than he did against Minnesota.

Personally, I'd rather him not play as much or at all until he's completely healthy.

Portis is a cancer he will bring the redskins down by week 8. Portis Vs Gibbs and Snyder. Jump on it ESPN and all media. If this was TO they would be all over this.

maybe cause TO actually has a history of this, and portis has never done anything to hurt his team

If TO was doing this, he would be getting ripped apart by the national media

Portis clearly has attitude issues
