Looking for answers.
Can someone please either tell me why, or explain to me why not even one team has thrown a deep pass against a receiver or Tight End that Watkins is covering?
I'm waiting to see how he defends deep passes, yet no one is testing him. Is there a possibility that the 5th round draft choice is already feared in this league?

Well when you figure you have at least one of TNew, Henry, Glenn, or Williams all potentially in the same area, then yes, I would say there is probably a high degree of fear there.
Our secondary could really be something special if Watkins continues to play well.

Watkins might not be 1-on-1 with anyone to begin with. And there have been several fairly deep passes when he was the second defender involved.

That's what I was gonna say, has Watkins been manned up on somebody, or has he just been roaming around back there?? Anyone know?

It's hard for me to tell. It seems like he's free-lancing a bit, but in the system of course.

I have been also waiting to see what hes got out there...
I am hopefull that not throwing to him is telling in itself or maybe telling about the pass rush

Perhaps our pass rush has Offensive Coordinators and QB's a little hesitant to call some LONG pass plays that take time to develop.
Then again, maybe the QB simply sees the 6'5" LONG WINGSPAN Watkins roaming around back there and thinks better of it.

It is possible that QBs are thinking his height and length will require perfect throws since what he lacks in speed his height would make up for the separation.
For those of you that were "offended" by last 2 sigs this one is for you.

I think Watkins has outstanding speed. 4.40 40 time... So not only does he have size, but great speed.

It looks like Watkins is playing a lot of centerfield and mostly in zone coverage, so it's tough to test him.
After charting the Dallas game, it was apparent that Dallas' main game plan was to take away the deep ball and make Brunnell beat them by either throwing in between the numbers or to Betts out on the flats.
