Default Has Al Johnson ever played Guard?

I'm just thinking about some of the things Parcells had to say about Al J. in his PC today. He mentioned how Johnson can pull and move well, and how he actually has overrun some plays. Has he ever been considered as a guard to anyones knowledge? Sounds to me like he has all the skills. Big Bill has mentioned that he has been happier with the play off Gurode in recent weeks, but if Andre falters, could we see Al move over so Bill can have two guys he really likes (walters and Johnson) out there at the same time? Also, there seems to be little 3rd round pick S. Peterman. How is he doing, anyone hear anything since Oxnard?

Thanks.

I don't know if he's dabbled at it in Wisconson but with his atheletisism and ability to grasp things pretty quickly I think he could fill in if need be. Whatever the postion on the O-line you still have to wup the man across from you.

I think Al Johnson will have the center position full time by season's end. My thinking is Parcells is indeed pleased with how Walter has progressed, but is using him to ease Johnson back from his injury, since it was pretty serious.

And Johnson currently fills that role right now. (Center and Gaurd)

But it is nice to have the added flexibility.
