He will not be back because if this team doesn't make a playoff run..he's gone.
Simple.

Who cares about next season. There're still 8 games to play. Hell Parcell may not even make it to the finish line.

Will Jones want Parcells back?
Entering the season, I thought Parcells would assuredly be gone if this tem missed the playoffs. However, I think the "Tony Romo Factor" could change that. I could see this team faltering but Parcells willing to take one more chance if he thinks a full year of Romo -- along with off-season improvements -- could finally right this thing.
Not to overrate Romo -- I know, it's easy to do these days -- but I do think his presence could be a weighing factor.

I don't think he will. This is year #4 and we still do the same things...which should be a sign to the coach that he cannot reach them. And we are not talking about guys on the edge of the roster. Roy and Witten are veteran guys who still have problems blocking and covering. Gurode is still mentally soft. TO is still TO. A PRE-MEDITATED PENALTY ON A BILL PARCELLS TEAM? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Parcells coming back doesn't scare me half as much as who Jones would get to replace him. That scares me to death.

OK, well, that means I'll have another season and a half of barely watching this mediocrity and spending time with my wife during our games.
Thankfully, I was smart enough to have never believed...

I can't wait for another offseason. Does Notre Dame have anymore slow Italian New Jersey TEs that we can draft or better yet any former players kids out there? I know Curtis Martin has bone on bone arthritis but he's surely worth taking a spin on.
I had an apartment and I had a neighbor, and whenever he would knock on my wall I knew he wanted me to turn my music down and that made me angry 'cause I like loud music... so when he knocked on the wall, I'd mess with his head. I'd say, "Go around! I cannot open the wall! I dunno if you have a doorknob on your side but over here there's nothin'. It's just flat."

I can't find one. Guess you will have to find something else to pick on next year.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
