Default Are you in pain today?

I was okay until I turned the radio on and heard the callers taking pleasure in our debacle...
Until I heard over an over what a great/classy/pro Harrisson is and what a clown TO is...
Until they rehashed the moronic move of going for 2 ...

NOW?

I'm utterly sick...thank lord the sun is out or I might be even worse...lucky for me this is a Vacation week from teaching ...no ribbing from the Giants fans...

I'm not sure we come back from this loss - I'm really not...I don't know if you can get over this in a week - this team has to be reviewing all the heartbreakers....Moss, Seattle, T-Giving,Philly etc and saying to themselves, "maybe it's our destiny to choke"

Off to buy a new phone for the one I smashed in half, like a fool, and almost caused my wife to pop a vein in her head b/c of her anger at me...
Gotta stop that crap...

I'm sick...how bout you?

Best thing to do is... make them watch this game over and over and call EVERYONE out during the viewing... CALL TO OUT OFTEN....

NO, I am not OK! Not even close!

I am at work and no one has even said a word to me. They just look at me and stay away!

I am devastated, pissed, depressed, upset, sad, confused.

I am not ok.

Are you in pain today?

Yeah, I think I sprained my ankle at the Boston College vs. Wake Forest game Saturday night. So it's causing me a little pain right now.

My spirits were bouyed by Ric Flair and Roddy Piper winning the World Tag Team titles last night.
Thankfully, I was smart enough to have never believed...

I thought that we would be a 9-7 (give or take a game) this year. To me, we are on pace to be what I thought we might be.

I'm actually very pleased about our progress this year. I never believed we would be a SuperBowl team so I look at each game we've lost and I see that we have had good opportunity to win every one of them. Our inexperience has accounted for much of our failure. Good teams have to go through this. Next year, we will be a better team for it. With two games started, so to speak, I am very happy that it looks as if we have found a QB. That, to me, is huge. I was not certain that Romo could be that guy and now, it really does look as if he is. I'm really happy about this development. In short, you gotta experience the lossing tough before you can be a champion. To me, this is what's going on now. I'm OK with this. I know it will work out to our benifit as time goes on.

Maybe it's because I'm older, but I've already been through this ebb and flow during the 90s with the Leon Lett Thanksgiving Day debacle and the other RFK meltdown during the 92-93 season.

And then I've seen the Cowboys win three Super Bowls in the 90s.

So I guess I'm more prepared for the ups and downs than, say, a younger Cowboys fan who barely remembers the glory years.

Or maybe I'm just picky. I don't want to scrape by with wins. I want DOMINANCE.

I want to beat teams and beat them handily and badly like the Cowboys of the 90s did.

When we lose games like this and go 4-4, that tells me this team really isn't where it should be.

So I'm patient, hoping that one day it will be. That tempers the "sick" feeling about losing.

It was a game for the ages. Or at least the finish of the game was. Kind of like "The Catch." It'll be one that we never forget. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'm bothered by it, but I refuse to let it get to me. What purpose does that serve?

Instead I'm choosing to see the silver lining. We got another solid effort at QB. I feel good about that. Now, I just need the team to rally.

You really have to look at the positives. And there is one HUGE, GLARING, positive we can take out of this game....

Romo was not a one game wonder. We've got our franchise quarterback fellas. Think how long its been since we've had someone we can feel good about back there. We've got him.

The pain of losing one game in DC won't diminish the new hope I have for this team in the future. We've got alot of talent on this team, we need to shore up the offensive line, and add a defensive player or two, and we're as good as anyone in the league.

Its been a long time since we've been able to say that.

Knowing your 35 yards away from winning the game only to see it fall apart is a tough one to swallow.

I'm not sick or upset. I went to the gym right after the game was over and worked out for an hour and a half. That got all the stress, high blood pressure and negative feelings out of my system. And like ABQ I take the positives of Tony Romo, our running game and some other things out of this.

The bottom line is that this is a game played by grown men we don't know. So while I may get upset when we lose I don't let it linger or rule my life.

It sucks but I have learned to let it go. I can not change the outcome so why let it bother me?

Nope. It is what it is, a football game.

The only thing I am in pain about is that it is freakin Monday.
