i was over at a Colts mb and found this on their early prediction on the Boyz/Colts.

People have been trying that 'America's Team' moniker for years, from the Fudge Packers to the Pats; only touble is, you actually have to have people that care about you outside of your home state.

Sorry, Indy won't grab that hat either.

It goes outside the US too... The Cowboys are international... the NFL is gonna have games outside the US in a few years... the Cowboys are ALREADY well known internationally

Yeah, I remember back when Dallas went to Mexico City and packed the 120,000 seat stadium.

It's possible that there are folks who are reminded of another unflattering part of the human anatomy, a little further south, when thinking of Indy.

"Americas Team" was a nickname given to Staubach's Cowboys its not a title... So if Colts fans think Roger and Tony can put up 24 then so be it, they are probally right with that there D!!!

But calling any other team "Americas Team" including Jimmys Cowboys is wrong... and should be a MAN LAW!!!

anyone calling the 06 BEARS the Monsters of the Midway? NOOOO and if they did they would be laughed at!!!

anyone call DENVER's D the Orange Crush? NOOOO

anyone calling the RAVENS D the "New Purple People Eaters"? NOOOO

anyone calling the Panther Dline the "New FEARSOME FOURSOME"? NOOOO

So why is it the Nickname of the Cowboys in the 70's has to become a TITLE for fans who think they have a good team???

Because its the Cowboys!!!

Its a Rip on the Boys saying anyone can be Americas Team... and it takes away from how that TEAM, those players and coaches were really loved by "almost" everyone!!!

when I hear someone say yeah thats the New Americas team I ask them to does that make Chad Johnson the NEW "White Shoes"?

They think DAllas is just going to roll over and die...Thery Barelyy beat the Titans and Bills for crying out loud.

I'll give The Colts team some respect but not the Fans...

Colts are America's Losers perhaps

but they are not America's Team, and never will be

even though the NFL does try to shove Payton Manning into our lives in every possible way...he must be on 5000 commericals now...somebody needs to tell them enough is enough...he's a good player, but the guy is possibly one of the worst big game players ever...

if I have to win one game, he aint on my team

why shouldnt they be confident? They've beaten NYG, Denver and New England on the road...we got humuliated at home by the Giants, embarrassed in Philly and also lost at Jacksonville...then we topped that off by losing to a horrible Redskin team...

I hope we win huge, but I can absolutely see why their fans think this wont be that difficult of a game..
