I think it's about time the Cowboys bit down hard and did it. What gave us Fasano? That whole 'BPA' technique. If we're to follow that and Crosby is on the board somewhere in the 3rd round, why not? Because, and I'm firmly confident in this, no vet the Cowboys sign will be any good.

If the most accurate kicker ever didn't work out for us, man, I don't know what else to do. Gramatica is going to be Jose Cortez redux.

If it's true that he can really hit 70 yarders consistently in practice (ive heard that a couple times) than absolutely hell yes.

If that really is true, than he should be a sure fire first round pick imo. I wouldn't take him there though. I would spend a second on him though

I'm pretty sure it was him.

They were talking about it earlier this year, I was watching Colorado at someone (Louisville maybe?) and the announcers were gushing at the leg the kid had.

I was really hoping to see him line up for a 55 yarder, but alas it didn't happen.

Now I wouldn't expect a 70 yarder in the NFL....practice is different....but if he's consistent from there in practice, one would surmise that the 50 yarders would be very consistent from him.

i want to see his numbers in road games. playing in colorado, with thinner air at high altitude, can inflate his stats.

They've shown him do it on ESPN. I've seen him kick a 70 yard field goal with my own eyes. The problem is that he can't do it in a real game because he kicks a line drive that would get blocked 9 times out of 10. Regardless, having a sure thing at the kicker position is worth a late 2nd round pick to me.

I would take that Rutgers kicker in a later round, that guy is money.

He kicks in Colorado. Can you say elevation helps the distance?

Not saying he isn't a good kicker. He is. So was Mike Nugent. Has he been worth a 2nd round pick?

Janikowski was good. Has he been worth a 2nd? Much less a 1st.

Kicking well in college doesn't mean you will in the pros.

He's missed 9 FGs this year folks.

See for yourselves.

We do need a solid kicker from somewhere!

He's only missed 2 under 50 yards, though. I have no idea how long the 50+ kicks were but I'm sure some of them were coaches just thinking, "Heck, let's see if he can kick this 65 yard FG." Obviously, he never be asked to do that in the NFL.

yes he plays at colorado but is from Texas and has kicked 70 yarders during the summer while at home so its not just the air.

Also, 1 of his 2 missed FGs within 50 yards was blocked.

Only missing 2 under 50 is pretty good.

And of course he won't be kicking 70 yarders in the NFL, the point is if he CAN do it then 55s to end the half/game aren't absurd to imagine.

Here are his plus 50+ kicks that he missed, just for the curious.

54, 65, 51, 55, 57, 61, 63

Obviously he won't be asked to make those in the NFL.
