This guy's act is shameless. How many farewell tributes will you allow? All it takes is for the guy to be honest about his intentions. He is coming back next year, and he knows it. And if you want to say he really doesn't know, then if you aren't a media monger you don't do all your little interview inserts that run all game long. We went through all this last year. Will we have to next year too? How many times can a guy get retirement coverage before he actually retires?

And John Madden has to be the biggest fan of a single NFL player in NFL history. Man does he love Brett Favre.

Seriously, Farve throws one in the dirt, they talk about his wife or some other irrelevant crap, Farve completes a pass, they show how right his technique superior to Rex piece of Crapman. I couldnt stand it.

Im going to throw a party when he retires.

Goodnight, now they carry him off the field. For what? Because he finished another regular season where the Packers miss the playoffs?

He's taking all the hugs, all the pats on the back.

If he retires, fine. If he doesn't, I'll say it again, it's shameless grandstanding.

Whatever. HOF QBs get serious slack. He's earned it. One of the greatest QBs you'll ever see. 8 pro bowls, #1 all time completions, #2 in yards and TDs. He's a great player. Shut up and give him a bit of respect.

I don't care if your Johnny Unitas (and Favre isn't, he isn't even an Aikman), you don't allow them to throw you a retirement party, complete with tributes, year after year. If he comes back next year, this will be two straight seasons where he has allowed retirement send offs while he continues to play this game.

And, btw, don't forget to add to your stat list, that he is 4 interceptions away from being the NFL's all time leader in that category too.

He's a grandstander.

I expect another worthless "press conference" where he announces he still hasn't made a decision yet just like he's done the last 2 years.

I love favre. He has been good for the nfl. I will miss him.

I felt the same way when montana, marino, kelly and elway and of course aikman retired.

He is a good guy and really is everything you could want in an athlete.

I dont find his act tiresome at all. It is a tough decision, there is no going back.

I could go with you on this, if all the firestorm was produced by others while he didn't contribute to it. But did you watch the end of last year? Basically takes a victory lap around Lambeau. This year is carried off the field by a teammate.

Who does all those interviews that keep getting run throughout the final games?

Do you do this year after year?

That is my beef with him. He fuels this stuff. Last year was an absolute joke. Called a press conference to say he was undecided, and to announce some charity event.

After crying with Andrea Kramer I hope he has a conscience and quits. If he comes back again, then PLEASE don't do some tribute next year too.

It's actually quite funny. I guess Brett likes all the attention so he will take the symbolic carry on the backs of his fellow players for the next couple of year or so until he really retires...zzz

Exactly. I would think it would be embarrassing for him at some point, but if he comes back next year, I guess it isn't.

I'm a Cowboys fan, but Brett Favre is every ounce the QB that Aikman was.

One of the top QB's of all time.

It will be a real shame when he leaves. The last of an era. A little bit of the 90's Cowboys and the Triplets will retire with Favre when he goes. I hold that Favre and those Packers in the same light as those Cowboys teams.

I hope he does come back personally.

I don't get wrapped up in the superficial stuff about should he stay or should he go. The guy can play and he's a joy to watch. I will always admire the way he approached the game. When he's gone it will be a loss for the entire NFL in my opinion.
