J Jones out according to FOX
What to watch for: The Cowboys won't be running rookie Julius Jones, but instead using a rotation of Eddie George and Richie Anderson. Jones has sore ribs. Rashard Lee will also get a few carries. The Vikings plan to attack Dallas CB Pete Hunter. The Cowboys have nothing but rookies in the kick return game, which could prove dicey. Onterrio Smith won't start, but he'll be the main runner for the Vikings.

Depends on who you wanna believe. I just checked the USA Today injury list (updated 5 minutes ago) and Julius was not on it.

he was listed as probable originally, but Parcells did say Thursday he might not make the trip...John Czarnecki is usually pretty accurate with his stuff
If he doesnt play and play alot, it just got much harder for us to win this game...

At the same website where that Fox article is posted, there's a league-wide injury list and Julius is not on that one either.
The Fox article that said he wouldn't play is only a day old, and Julius was probable even then, so go figure.

He doesn't have to be listed as injured to be inactivated. We are talking Parcells here dude. Larry Allen wasnt injuured last year either, he just kept getting yanked after 3 plays.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

Parcells has made some, uh, interesting decisions. To release a player that you have been giving starting reps to a day before the season (even though said player has sucked) is odd. Releasing a starting QB days after saying he had a leg up on the competition is peculiar. Drafting more special teams players than position players is pretty unusual as well.
But hey, Bill knows how to win. And that is all that I want to see.

Clayton says he's playing.
Well, you know how reliable he is.

Hey you may be right. But Parcells also "leaked" to the press how we were going to run, run, run against the Giants in the Monday night game last year.
I think BP will give him a shot at playing, wink wink nudge nudge
Hope so anyway...

That's what I think too.
He's been unclear all week about as much as he possible could. I bet Jones plays a lot.

It was just on the pre-game show on the ticker that Jones is out.
