Default Remember Bill....

"You are what your record says you are."

That was a convenient line to use when the team was 5-11 for three years and it was suggested to Parcells that we had better talent than our record.

We'll tally the record at the end of the year.

But even though he is Mr. Hall of Fame, who can't be second guessed, I have several concerns that date back to last year.

We'll wait and see...and hope for the best...
RIP Santiago

Yeah, it's funny how back then "You are what you say you are." worked. Now, he says "We could be a better team, but that may not show in the record.".

Well Bill, which is it?

Sorry, but this TEAM that I saw today isn't better than last year's team at all. Same offensive output, 10X worse defensive production equals a negative in my book.

It's funny how he can get away with contradicting statements and the sheeple follow it every step of the way.

Who cares about the meaningless vacuum that is coachspeak. What we need to ask, it why keep running to the perimeter and losing yards when they couldn't stop us straight ahead. Not going with waht worked on offense was extremely costly.

John Madden always says, that when he coached, if a play worked, he ran it until the other team stopped it...Adams and Allen were dominating...Minnesota had no answer...

But worse yet, it was Parcells choice to pass on what he felt were over-valued, FA's..specifically CB's and DE's...

And as far as Lee sitting on the bench...that was almost Coslet-esque...go with the hot hand until it runs out...

Also, Richie Anderson is NOT the guy you want carrying the ball in the fourth quarter...LTN will also tell you, those of us who watched him in NY KNOW he has a habit of putting the ball on the turf at the worst of times...he has 11 fumbles in 270 career carries...NOT GOOD.

And...we all heard about special teams...over and over again...players were cut if they couldnt contribute on special teams...AND....so what happens, we have a punter, who held the ball only ONCE in pre-season, holding...we had an entire YEAR to figure this one out...PLEASE!

I have to stop...my head is gonna explode.
RIP Santiago

I've always said it about Parcells...his timing is brilliant...he knows when to take a team over...and when to leave...

The worst part about the roster is, it's OLD. I wouldnt mind being lousy and young...but lousy and OLD??? What's the point?

Dedric WARD returning punts? We had an entire off-season and that's the best we could come up with...oooooops, maybe we shouldnt have cut Swinton????

I agree completely.

If we were just a young bunch of guys in key positions, then it's a little bit more understandable, but to have the aged vets in key positions and still lose the way that we did....not good.

Sure, we've got some young guys as well, but the old seem to out-weigh the young as far as where they are playing.

Juke, did all those fumbles come on carries?

Or some of the many many receptions he has had?

Truth is, for the number of times RA has touched the ball in his career, his fumble ratio is low. Very low.

I feel bad for Richie - after fumbling in the playoff game - now to have this one on him. That was a pure hard helmet dead on to the ball today, not a careless lack of concentration.

Bummer.

My head is gonna explode too. LOL

Defense looked horrible, everyone, every single player, the only one i saw make a great play was Davis on a special teams hit. Vikings could have scored 50 had they not tried to run out the clock. But this shouldnt be shocking to us, we all saw it during preseason.

Defense never gave the team a chance to win. Whatever game plan we had on defense, failed.

Things i noticed on D:
- Hunter cant cover
- Roy needs Darren
- We had zero pressure
- Horrible game plan

Here's another one no one is going to want to hear....Roy, is over-rated by Dallas fans...

We comitted him to coverage today...so he was a non factor in the running game....and, they still scored five TD's on passes...

Roy is great near the LOS...on coverage, he is at best, average...he is slow to react...and at times, looks lost..

I saw him twice last year at Giant Stadium and was really surprised to see how bad he is in coveage...

LOL

Bill Parcells in today's press conference:

Richie has fumbled before, and not just last year. And he needs to take better care of the ball. But he played too much.

He "played too much" but we left Lee on the bench. Helllllloooooo earth to Bill. Why was Lee on the bench? Because we were running a passing offense?

Geez, that was the worst day Parcells has had in all the years I have watched him
(which is a LOT of years)...he was as bad as the rest of the team yesterday.

Not the end of the world, we can always turn it around, but it was a bad day.

Our roster isnt lousy and old...

we have some older guys that clearly are going to be phased out, but the roster itself is quite young. We have some good young talent.

i can't believe you guys are actually bashing parcells after one loss.

two words....dave campo.

you guys are pathetic excuses for "fans." we started 0-1 last year and we were fine.

minnesota has a great offense and we have a weak secondary until woody gets back...but we'll be ok.

have some faith, geeze.
