I think this pretty much locks up that first pick next season is on a DT.

I know we need a CB but BP loves DTs. He might draft 2 or 3. He has really tried to get Daleroy and Shaun Smith brought along. Add in a failed Willie Blade fat-exorcism and BP must be exhausted fooling with these DTs. Back to 3 or 4 DTs. Carson, Eaton, Glover and possibly this Cooper kid if he's ready to go this quickly.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

I didn't think things were going that badly for Daleroy Stewart.

I would've thought Parcells might have given a young player with such promise a little more time to come around under increased expectations.

I guess Big Bill was tired of waiting.

DT will definitely be high on the list, but so will CB and DE. I see us taking the best player among those three positions unless someone else is just head and shoulders better when we select.

Hos' heart will soon broken because we aren't drafting a WR in the first round next year. I think we're looking DT and CB. And a Safety in round 2.

What worries me is Carson's knee.

I guess it was only a matter of time.....although I liked stewart, I think he might be able to stick on to a team elsewhere......*cough* arizona *cough*

Pretty amazing these cuts.

I am not defending Stewart, I thought he played pretty bad.

I just thought Parcells had a thing for him.

I guess his upside wasn't as good as they thought.

Not sure about this DL anymore....

2000 Draft
2 (49) Dwayne Goodrich
4 (109) Kareem Larrimore
5 (144) Michael Wiley
6 (180) Mario Edwards
7 (219) Orantes Grant

2001 Draft
2 (53) Quincy Carter
2 (56) Tony Dixon
3 (93) Willie Blade
4 (122) Markus Steele
5 (137) Matt Lehr
6 (171) Daleroy Stewart
7 (207) Colston Weatherington
7 (240) John Nix
7 (242) Char-ron Dorsey

Two marginal players, Dixon and Lehr, are all we have to show for these two drafts. Two more dud, wasted drafts by the Jerry-meister
