Cowboy Fan's opinions on the Vikings?
I am just wondering how you thought they played. Did they dominate you, or did you dominate yourselfs (so to speak)? How was their offensive line? Defensive line? CBs? Was Johnson making great plays or was he wide open on all of his catches? Was it George or their run defense that made him look so bad? How did Hunter and Dixon have two sacks for 0 yards? ect...
Obviously I didn't see the game, and we are playing them next week, so I am just wondering how they did.
Thanks.

The toothbrush had to be invented in West Virginia, if it was created anywhere else it would have been called a teethbrush.

Without talking too much smack, I believe the Eagles had better bring their "A" game this week. Minnesota's offense looked pretty much flawless against the boys. I think the Cowboys' defense has its problems, but the Vikings will test your secondary and Culpepper's mobility will frustrate your front seven.
The Vikings showed a group of receivers that performed very well even when Moss was held to fairly few receptions and yards. Of course, Moss was able to draw a big PI call which led to a TD.
The Viking's D was able to stifle a fairly anemic Cowboy running attack. The Cowboy's receiving corps of KJ, TG, and AB was able to get open for a pretty strong VT showing. The Cowboys have been counting on a big young TE called Jason Witten but the Vike's LB's had him covered pretty well all game. The Vike's did not have a good pass rushing day.
In short, my prognosis for Vikings at Eagles would be for a high scoring affair. It might be that the last team in possession could win this game. We'll see.

Where is the game played?
If it's in Minnesota it'll be a shootout, Eagles lose by two touchdowns. If it's in Philly, you'll win by a touchdown.
Minnesota's D is terrible, but that offense is the best we'll play, especially at home.

If they play as well offensively against you guys as they did against us, you can take it to the bank that you guys will be 1-1 after Monday night. You guys apparently had problems handling the mediocre Giants offense, and the Vikings are vastly more talented than they are. Their OL is one of the best 3 or 4 units in football. I'd also guess that the Vikes defense is better than the Giants piss poor unit.
Can the Vikes play that good on the road? Guess we'll see Monday, but again if they are "on" like they were vs us, you guys wont beat them.

I can honestly say that the Vikings were the best team Dallas has faced all season
In all seriousness, I thought the Vikings looked very good. Of course, they always do to begin the season. It seems to me that is they can continue like this, they are going to be very hard to beat.

They looked tremendous on offense - especially the OL. The complementary receivers to Moss are much better than in previous years. The RBs even played pretty well and they get back Bennett next week.
The defense played very poorly but definitely has potential. The LB crew is large, fast and talented (Claiborne, Henderson, Thomas). The DL has got two very good young players (Udeze, KWilliams) but could not effectively apply pressure against us. The secondary has some good hitters but had pretty poor coverage all-day.
The Vikes have always been about schizo. World beaters one week than terrible the next. Don't know which version you'll see. If their O is clicking again, it should be a high scoring affair because I don't think they can stop you guys.

Who do you let beat you?
Dante?
Moss?
Running game?
In hindsight (which is easy since what we did do didn't work) - I would liked to have seen Roy in the box applying pressure to Culpepper (he may be hard to bring down, but he will fumble when hit) and impacting the running game - lock Newman on Moss and live with the results.
Zimmer tends to let the opponent dictate our defense, instead of imposing our will upon them. It seemed to change a little last year, but it looks like we might be doing it again (and I can see many reasons why it happened against Minny).

I wouldn't worry about a thing. Watch the deep snapper...I can say no more.

If they play in Philly, Eagles win.
Eagles will have the better team this year. Minnesota may get the better of them early in he year, but Philly will last longer in the playoffs IMO.

Their offense looked like the best in the NFL to me. Huge offensive line that kept everyone at bay and with time Culpepper simply picked apart the defense. If they aren't the best offense in the the NFL they will be top 3.

The best offensive team I've seen in a while. The other receivers along with their running game compliments Moss very well. They will be difficult to stop for any defense.
They have some question in their secondary and along the Dline.
The Vikes in my opinion have a shot at going all the way.
Cowboy Fan since 1960.......You young-uns stay outta my yard.

Before the season began I considered Minnesota to be a Super Bowl team.
But now I'm not sure........
Boy, their offense is unbelievable....and the times when our DBs did a good job of covering their WRs, Culpepper ran wild.
I'm not sure if O. Smith will play.....I'm sure the NFL only wanted him to be active for our game ( ) ....Bennett is out.
Their defense is the problem. They stink.....This is the one area that may hold them back.
We passed for 355 yards. Two of our WRs had over 100 yards receiving and Glenn had over 80. We were almost able to drive on them at will, and our offense is not clicking at all yet.
Their run defense isn't much better than their pass defense. We ran the ball ok against them. The only reason we didn't rack up a lot of rushing yards is because we were passing at will.
They dominated us with their offense. They'll give you all a few headaches. But you all should be able to match them score for score.
