Lets not be so hard on Mike Williams... He abused T New on a corner route for a TD against us.

Of all people for Newman to get abused on in a play.......

It was Mike Freakin' Williams

Do we need him at 22??? I wouldn't. WR's without ability to separate from CB's are not worth a 1st.
WOW!!!

That is pretty slow for a "game breaker" receiver. Maybe it was the turf or something?

If he really is this slow, noway I burn a 1st on him. I just dont see us taking WR at #22 this year, I am thining defense again.

yeah a year and a half coming off a knee injury.

He played a whole season after the sugery.

If Jarrett falls to us i hope we take him.

This is why 40 times are overrated, now since people think he runs a 4.7 nobody likes him anymore.

Just watch him on tape, he is a playmaker.

god some people piss me off
"His poise has been surprising. Against Indy, at the two-minute warning, we thought we'd take a knee. But Tony comes in the huddle and says, 'All right guys, we're gonna take a shot. We're going deep.' We're like, 'What? Game's over.' He took a knee, but for a minute he had everyone going." -Jason Witten

People put too much stock into the combine and 40 times. If he is available at 22, and the BPA, take him. He can make plays, and you dont always need great 40 time to be a good WR in the NFL. Speed doesnt always equal separation.

Boldin sleeps faster than a 4.7 40. I'm a FSU fan and I saw him beat the best corners in college and he's still doin it in the pro's. Some people just don't time well but man they sure do play fast. That being said, Jarrett is not one of those players. He made plays in college but he was always covered or nearly so. In the pro's that won't happen. I remember saying these same things when Mike Williams was coming out and Jarrett is the same player with a different name. Mark my words... If we draft him we will regret it. If you want someone with Jaretts hands, size, and playmaking ability but be able to be explosive and seperate see Sidney Rice. That's my pick.

He beat them by making great catches in traffic (I didn't say he didn't have good hands). But he was hardly ever wide open. If your covered in college your shut down in the nfl. Sorry but it's true. Don't believe me? Go back and look at tape from Mike Williams and then of Jarrett. If you didn't know who you were looking at you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

i dont think anybody ever said jarrett was a speed wr. he's more of a keyshawn type. not mike williams. jarrett isnt overweight, and isnt lazy. u seem more like a bitter usc hater more then anything else with the statements u've made. get over it.

Your wrong, he did get "wide open" not by being blazing fast but by being smart and a great route runner. What would you rather have a chicken with his head cut off running sloppy/wrong routes, or a guy who takes care and runs routes like jerry rice did.

i'll take the precise route runner, and if jarrett is there at 22 so will dallas.

Break out Jerry Rice's 40 time. Or Emmitt Smith's. Dwayne Jarret dominated most of the CB's he played against. The one time Michigan had Leon Hall on Jarret he torched him for a TD.

Mayock also showed clips of Jarrett at USC. Whenever corners played off coverage he had pretty good success, but when a corner played press he couldn't separate. They did say that wrs can learn and are always working to get better against press and Mayock still listed Jarrett as his 5th ranked wr. Jarrett also when interviewed claimed that he didn't run because of a slight groin injury and that he expects to run a 4.4-4.45 on his pro day.

I think we have young talent to develop already on the roster in Hurd & Austin. Plus we have Crayton. At 22, I think the 'Boys should just take the best player available on OL.
