Default Nors Nuggets on game

Inactives - Richie Anderson - his role here is fading

28 rushes - 4.5 YPC -
2/3 on red zone conversions
TOP 36.08 minutes to Browns 23.52

Only the 11 penalties for 120 yards and 4 offensive turnovers kept this game close.

Nate Jones outplaying Reeves and Thornton was inactive in rookie CB battle.

Richie fumbled last year as well at the worst possible times. I can't fathom why he is even on this team...and taking RUNNING plays away from Reshard Lee at that.

His role may be fading...but then again maybe they just did not activate him because he was not 100%.

Furthermore was it just me or did Julius still look a little like he was still worried about his ribs?

he looked like he was favoring his ribs. guys like ekuban and myers were aiming for his ribs. was i glad we had george at crunch time. he may not be the fastest guy out there but he's certainly sure handed.

julius has got to get over the ribs thing to be able to help us. or maybe he looked tentative cause he's still a rookie.

Default I am now more sure than ever

That the carries will start to slide back to Eddie George. JJ and Lee had a YPC average at best what 3?

George is 235, veteran, tough, reliable and when he's in there we grind clock and win TOP battle!

What is TOP last 2 first quarters with him in there?

Fans were chanting Eddie, Eddie, Eddie in second half. Had to feel good to EG and well deserved.

Hall of fame back.

Don't bet on it. When he's healthy, he'll go back to his same role.

I haven't re-watched the game yet, but Reeves looked better to me. Thornton was inactive again because he doesn't play in the slot and doesn't return kicks. If either Newman or Hunter went down, I'd bet Thornton would start at cornerback, not Reeves or Jones.

Then either Lee/JJ is inactive. I called the RA inactive this AM. Lee/JJ make him expendable.

Nate made a critical play to jar a ball loose on sidelines. Good to see him out there. We won with him active.

I thought Jones had a decent first showing, but I don't know how you say he outplayed Reeves. Reeves looks like he could be a ballplayer... That breakup in the endzone was very well played.

Isn't calling Richie inactive kinda like calling Gurode inactive?

How hard was that?

Isn't he hurt? From DC.com....Running back Richie Anderson is also questionable with a sprained knee.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I'm with you on this one. I'm almost postive that he was inactive due to his injury from last week. I know he practice some this week, but I'm sure Parcells doesn't want to risk anymore of an injury to him that could cause him to miss many weeks.

Many don't want to believe it, but he is a safety blanket to our QB's. He does fumble which isn't good at anytime, but he is consist at catching the ball.

Nors, You'll see #20 back on the field for Monday Night Football.
