when the Eagles and Skins play it's a no brainer.. I root for the Eagles.. it's k!nd of a win win situation really.. maybe it's cuz I live in Redskins territory? My hatred for the Skins has no equal.. Philly is a close second though... as far as that SB .. that would be tough.. I would just prey that SB never happend but if it did I would just have to let the Pats match us as much as that would hurt also.. they didn't even make the playoffs in the second year of their run so I still wouldn't view them equal to the Boyz

Oh, theres no doubt that the 90s Boys where far superior to this current Patriots:
Aikman > Brady
Emmitt > Dillon
Irvin > Branch
Dallas O-Line > New England O-Line
Novecheck > whoever there TE is
Dallas D-Line > New England D-Line
Dallas Linebackers = New England linebackers
Darren Woodson > Rodney Harrison
Dallas CBs (Smith, Sanders, etc) > New England CBs (Law, whoever else)
Its really not even close

Why is this even a question? We're two games into the season, I'm hoping Dallas is in the game, now worrying about other teams who might be in and who to root for in that instance

True but it's all about winning.. if they're winning SB's then it doesn't matter who's players are more well known or better.. that's like saying yeah we had Aikman if Brady goes on to win like 5 SB's-- it's all about results

Why not? It's a football discussion board. I was just curious because the Patriots could potentially tie our record. I take pride in all of Dallas' records. People are responding to this post and voting in the poll, so it's obviously interesting enough. I'm not "worrying" about other teams.....it's just a topic for a Cowboys discussion board. Needless to say, I'm hoping that this matchup never materializes.

I'll watch, won't like it, but I'll watch if these teams get into the SB. I'll be rooting for each team to blow up and the score be 0-0 at the end of reg, overtime, 2 ot's, and till eternity and they call the game for incompetence.
I hate the Iggles, and don't want the Pats to equal our 3 in 4 years. Either way, in this one, the Cowboys and it's fans lose.

The eagirls wouldn't face Satan in the superbowl. If they were to make it that far it would be because they made a deal with satan, so obviously he wouldn't be their opponent.

Even if your team was declared the team from hell, I wouldn't say that satan was co-owner of the c'Boys.

Not even satan could help the Eagles to the SB.

Every time Philadelphia and Washington play, I pray that the game goes into overtime, then with :1 second left in overtime, all the power goes out, it starts raining hard, and the wind gets up to 80 MPH. Then they have to cancel the game, leaving both teams looking very stupid. And if that doesnt happen, I hope a Giant meteor takes out FedEx field

True football fans watch the Super Bowl regardless of who is in it.

Much respect to a real football fan!
Bottom Line: I've watched and rooted for the C'boys in the SB! Sure, I was hurting and wanted the Eagles to be there instead, but once the NFC team is esatblished in the SB, I'm for that team.
BTW: It's too early to Make a hairbrain prediction like who will be in the SB. Too early!

The only way I'd pick a winner in those two would be by lobotomy or brainwashing of some sort... and neither is going to happen.

Not sure who made a "hairbrain prediction" here. I actually haven't seen any predictions in the thread. It's a thread/poll based on a hypothetical (but certainly realistic) question.

I'd definitely root for the Patriots...hands down.

To respond to the previous post:
I don't understand why some people will root for a rival because they "represent the NFC." I don't think there's any NFC East, NFC or AFC Conference brotherhood going on. Maybe in the old days when it was AFL vs. NFL, but if the Eagles won the next 10 Super Bowls, that wouldn't make me feel better, it'd piss me off.
