Default rain tonight

We are suppose to get some showers here tonight in Baltiomore. Not sure if we are getting a lot or just some drizzles. No big deal, just an fyi.

if it turns into a running show, that is probably not to our advantage.

Clinton Portis isnt running against Eddie George and Rashard Lee

he may prove me wrong, but normally runners that rely so much on cutback ability dont fare as well on sloppy turf.....Washington (so far) hasnt shown any ability to throw the ball at all, hence making Zimmer's job pretty simple---stop Portis....there should be 8 and 9 men in the box all night until the Skins show they can throw downfield, something they havent shown with Brunell at all so far...

our offense on the other hand has shown inate ability to throw...we can throw short, intermediate and long...we have good WR's (3) and good TE's as well as backs who can catch...Washington no matter whether it rains or not has more to game plan for than we do....

Portis has shown a tendancy to fumble. The rain won't help him in that regard.

Both teams have to deal with it and I'll take a grinder in that situation over a cut back runner any day of the week.

That was my thought as well. I'd rather have a mudder than a sports car if the tracks wet.

Lee and EG run right up the middle more often than not. Portis is a cutback guy.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

Exactly when a back is trying to cut back aginst the grain on a wet track he either has to slow up to do it or he ends up losing his football, on a North/South runner you just need to hit the hold and tonight I look for Flo and Larry to be opening some holes, tell the RB get in behind these 2 big butts and run

Portis' best run of the year (that opening TD drive against the Buccs) was because of a slick cutback. Let's see him try that stuff on a muddy field. I like our chances.

I like our chances regardless of the weather, Portis is a good back and I don't want take that away from him but I also have faith in our defensive players as well and as long as they are not over pursuing him I think we will do a very good job of stopping the skins running attack.

I live in Central VA and it's pouring outside right now. It's supposed to get worse tomorrow.

The DC forecast has showers today and heavy rain overnight. It should be messy during the game.

Roy will be there waiting to lay the lumber on Portis. I just have a feeling he is going to rock Portis's world tonight.

I hope it's rains through out the entire game. I also hope the Cowboys have been practicing with the sprinklers on.

My Companies office is 20 minutes away from Fedex Field. It is not raining right now 2pm ET but it's fairly cool with overcast.

I like Vinny better than an injured Brunnel or a inexperienced Ramsey in inclement weather.

I'm not sure how Vinny is in bad weather.

But he sure had trouble with that dry football in the 4th quarter last week.

I enjoy watching bad weather games. Plus it will keep the smell down from the Hogetts.

Unless it's very windy or your quarterback can't throw a wet ball, rain actually favors passing over running because defensive backs can't adjust and cut as well on slippery footing.
