McNabb set to roll for training camp

From wire reports

Now that Donovan McNabb has taken some snaps and thrown a few passes, he believes he's ready for training camp.

The five-time Pro Bowl quarterback completed his first week of practice since tearing a knee ligament in his right knee on Nov. 19 and expects to be on the field when the reconvene next month.

McNabb worked in noncontact and team passing drills in the final minicamp. He wasn't expected to do more than individual drills at this point.
McNabb felt no swelling or discomfort, but he isn't ready to declare himself ready for the season opener or even preseason games.

"We have to stick to reality," he said. "We never know what may happen."

Favre sidelined
Brett Favre was held out of the ' practices Wednesday and Thursday because of a sore right shoulder.

"I think it's probably just tendinitis or something like that," Favre said.
Coach Mike McCarthy said the medical staff doesn't consider the injury serious, but Favre won't be on the field Monday and Tuesday when the Packers conclude their workouts.

Attorney: No evidence
Adam "Pacman" Jones' lawyer urged authorities to file criminal charges or stop trying to link the Tennessee Titans cornerback to a strip club melee and triple shooting in February.

Attorney Robert Langford said no evidence tied Jones to the shooting, and DNA comparisons failed to show the NFL star was responsible for a bite injury reported during the mayhem. He termed what happened a "glorified bar fight at best."

Kendall wants trade
Veteran offensive lineman Pete Kendall has asked the ] to trade or release him because of a bitter contract dispute.

Kendall, an offensive co-captain who'll be 34 next month, is looking for a $1 million raise on his $1.7 million salary, but the Jets haven't budged. He re-negotiated his contract last year, signing a four-year deal.
"I'm not here to win a spitting contest," Kendall said. "I just want to be fairly compensated."

Briefly
Dolphins: Daunte Culpepper said he slightly bruised the top of his left, non-throwing hand in a two-car accident, but escaped serious injury.

Jaguars: Veteran safety Donovin Darius, Jacksonville's first-round pick in 1998, was released.

Browns: Defensive coordinator Todd Grantham agreed to a two-year contract extension, a deal that will keep him with the club through the 2009 season.

Only Mcnabb knows if he is truly rushing it back. I think he would have said he could go regardless of how he feels. While I don't question his heart, I might question his brain. Look how well Culpepper did after rushing back.

Dez Bryant, Receiver. A man who's season is over. Gentlemen, the Cowboy's staff can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first super human receiver.
Dez Bryant will be that man. Better than he was before. Better.... Stronger..... Faster......
