Someone help me out

I'm mostly a lurker here but I have a question that hopefully someone here can answer.

I workout alot and now I believe that I might have gotten a hernia. Does anyone here know the general price range of a hernia repair? Also can one get by with a hernia and still do heavy lifting...i.e. "deadlifts, squats....etc..etc.."

I'd appreciate thoughts from anyone with expierence in this area.

I take it you don't have insurance? Because I'm pretty sure that would be covered under most health insurance.

I'd expect the price varies widely depending on what kind of facility you go to and what part of the country you live in.

My dad had a hernia and fully recovered. I don't think you will have any issues given that you have a competent doc...

Pretty routine stuff these days...

I'm not sure which I find more asinine. That you'd use a FB to inquire about a medical condition, rather than consult at the very LEAST, something like WebMD.com. Or that you'd wonder whether continuing to do "deadlifts" and "squats" is a possibility?

Here's a little more layman medical advice for you, since it seems to carry such weight with you. If it burns when you pee, it's likely not due to the extra Tabasco you put on your queso last night

That didn't dawn on me until last night, so all apologies go to taps. I feel kind of like an *** now.

However I don't see the problem about inquiring about hernia surgery on the cowboys message board. I frequent this place alot generally as a lurker and I see people ask these sorta questions often.(not about hernia's, but you get my drift) I was just scoping the place out to see if anyone has had personal expierence with this. Hernia's are to my understanding quite typical and I wanted to see if I could find someone that has has this operation done before.

I apologize once again taps, I don't have the greatest sense of humour so it takes me a bit to catch on sometimes.
