I went searching around some other wrestling sites...they're all reporting it now...so I don't think it's part of a storyline. Surely they wouldn't include his family in it?? Well...knowing Vince (the man who once had a match - Vince vs. God....you can never tell!!)
Anyways....prayers for the entire Beniot family!! RIP

Nothing released yet to suggest murder or murder-suicide?
This is nuts. Lately a career in wrestling has a higher mortality rate than being in the mob.

This is very tragic...

Wrestler Chris Benoit, Wife and Child Found Dead

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities said professional wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and child were found slain Monday at their Fayette County home.
Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details.
Pope said the deaths are being investigated as homicide, but the cause of death awaits autopsy results tomorrow.
He would not say how the bodies were discovered, or who found them.
The World Wrestling Entertainment said on its Website that the 40-year-old Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son Daniel were found dead but also had no other details.
The WWE said that instead of its programming Monday night on USA Network, it would air a three-hour tribute to Benoit.
Captain Nathan Brittles: "Only the man who commands can be blamed. It rests on me... mission failure!"
"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

I love undersized wrestlers and he was one of the best. Old school guy from WCW. He wasn't great but he worked his butt off. Wow this is a shocker. If anyone gets more info please update.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

R.I.P. CHRIS BENOIT
He will be missed.
He was one of 2 or 3 wrestlers that were still in the business that I would have paid good money to see him perform live.
WWE, the wrestling business, the world has lost a great man. I was not lucky enough to meet him. But if he was half as passionate about other things in his life as he was about satisfying wrestling fans worldwide, then there is no doubt that he was a great human being.
He will be missed....
R.I.P. Chris "The Crippler" Benoit
