The NFLN america's Game on the 1992 team came on last night. Was only able to catch a little bit. But one of the funny stories that I caught was how Jimmy left Irvin on the tarmac. He caught another plane. Got there and sat the first series.

Well Troy later said that Jimmy left HIM after the 1992 Conference Championship game. Apparently, he was taking too long answering questions from the media. When he finally went out, the team bus was pulling off. He had to take the media bus to the airport.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Not much else to say. Just basking in the warm glow of one of the greatest teams in NFL history.

1991 left me so hopeful about the future. It was such a young team. It still kind of amazes me that we were the youngest team in the NFL by average age and we won it all.

My gosh that team was fast. I mean fast everywhere. It was like Jimmy Johnson wanted to just run the other teams until they needed oxygen.

I had waited 15 years for a 3rd Super Bowl and man oh man did this team make it worth the wait. I was afraid of the Bills, especially after the amazing comeback they had against the Houston Oilers in the Wildcard Playoff game.

People at work were telling me that we were too young and Buffalo could score too fast for us to win. I'd seen the Giants and Redskins beat the Bills in consecutive Super Bowls, but their teams weren't built the way the Cowboys were. They had wily veterans.

It wasn't until Ken Norton Jr. stuffed Davis at the goal line that I knew there was nothing on this earth that was going to save Buffalo from the butt whipping we were prepared to minister.

My wife was pregnant with our oldest daughter and she was due right around that time. I kept telling her, "not during the Super Bowl. Not during the Super Bowl." At halftime Michael Jackson was performing and the baby was kicking my wife to the beat of the music. I thought it was labor pains. Thank goodness it wasn't and I got to see the whole game.

I openly admit the play of the game was Don Beebe preventing yet another defensive score by Leon Lett. I admired that he didn't give up on that play. It could have been 59 points if Leon had just realized Beebe was coming. That would have been the highest score by one team in a Super Bowl. Oh well.

Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin hooking up for back to back touchdowns in 17 seconds remains a highlight for me. We did burgers and dogs for the little party we threw and I think I smashed my hamburger to oblivion after that 2nd TD if I remember right.

The best part about this team was that I knew it wasn't a one shot wonder. I knew that there was a chance to win 2 in a row and maybe more. To this day I feel like if Jimmy had stayed we'd have won at least 4 in a row, and maybe 5. It wasn't meant to be but this Super Bowl surely was.

Who among us will ever forget the chant? "How 'bout them Cowboys?" Not me.

I was so thrilled by those two Irvin TDs at the end of the first half that I moonwalked in my living room to the Michael Jackson halftime show.

I was watching it too! Sounds like something Parcells would do to Romo...

I remember that one game in particular Michael Irvin was referring to when the CB from Arizona was talking trash..... All 88 did was light him up for 3 TD's that day.

Lorenzo Lynch

The 1992 Cowboys were on America's Game on NFL Network last night and earlier today. I could watch that segment all day and never get tired of watching it.
