Just moved to TX
I just moved to Dallas and I wanted to say howdy. It's great to be in Texas, and I'm really enjoying the Dallas area. I moved from Maryland because I got a job here in Dallas. I guess the saying goes here is "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I can." I'm just glad I can enjoy all the Cowboys games on Sunday. I must say I am fully embracing the Texas culture, I already bought a Stetson cowboy hat. Cowboy up!

You poor soul. You will thoroughly enjoy being able to watch Cowboys games every Sunday instead of Redskins/Eagles/Giants/Jets/Ravens. |

My wife wants to move to Dallas. Mainly she wants to get away from her family, and she's loved it the times we've visited there. I wouldn't mind myself as I'd be able to get season tickets to Cowboys games. Would just have to find a job down there though.

I don't know what industry you work in, but the local economy is good (so far) and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is one of the five largest markets in the country, with a population between 5 and 6 million people. A fair share of Fortune 500 companies (including el numero uno) have headquarters here. |
