At Least The Pats Screwed The Eagles Over...
Think of it this way guys, the cheating Pats probably did us a favor by screwing the Eagles over in the bowl.
If I remember correctly, the final was 27-24 and the Eagles were all over Brady's jock on blitz after blitz in the first half.
The second half, the Eagles never even touched Brady.
If it wasnt for those cheating Pats, the Eagles would probably have a trophy right now......I think I am going to send a thank you card to Belicheat.....this is freaking priceless

I think all the coaches that play against Bill this year, should snub him, the after game handshake, and run off the field
cheating piece of crap....

Yeah, because they're dirty cheaters. The only credit they're due is for being caught redhanded. You've gotta be pretty frickin dense to think otherwise.

Hey we could be dirty cheaters as well. We had Bill Parcells here for 4 years.
The guy was a nut about things regarding the media and people cheating. He probably knew every trick in the book just like Belicheck does.
Do I know if he did do anything? No. But im just saying I wouldn't put it past him or any other NFL coach.
Patriots still earned all those superbowls. I can't prove they cheated everytime. I cant say confidently that other teams aren't doing things.
But when plays had to be made guys did it.

My only question is, "How many key offensive plays succeeded for the Patriots if they knew which defensive package the Rams, Eagles and/or Panthers were going to throw at them because of info gleamed via spying before the snap?"

The New England Sooners. They both got off scott free and that will promote more cheating.

Your guess is as good as mine.
Same with every team that lines up on Sundays.

As Don Shula said,
If I'm dumb enough to get my signals stolen I deserve it.
Till 2007 I don't thing Pats were breaking any rules with stealing signs. They are caught and payed the piper.
100% of every baseball manager/coach is trying to steal 3rd base calls and catcher calls. This really is overblown. Gaylord Perry and countless pitchers threw spitters and its "funny". Corked bats anon
You really have to be a genius to snair signals and relay that info onto the field real time. Or better yet, you have to be pretty dumbed down to be schooled like that.
I think it will play out that Patriots are still a solid team post cameragate. Funny how Dallas with no talent pre and post 1992-1996 have been pawned. You have the players and execute there is no stopping it.
And I'll go out on a limb they still will continue to monitor opposing teams call in some "legally" deemed manor.

Tom Brady still had to make all those big throws. Lets not discount everything accomplished by NE. We still dont know how useful the video tapes truely were for NE. Remember, everyone in football used to know what play Dallas was going to run in 90's...but they still needed to execute.

True, but with net margin of victory for the Patriots being a field goal in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII and XXXIX--the subtraction of one key offensive play (edit), which succeeded via spying, could've been the difference between three championship victories--or one or more runner-up finishes.

ok credit where credit's due, the game still has to be played... but
Am I alone in thinking that this makes the league look worse than anything Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson or the Cincinatti Bengals did this past off-season?
This wasn't some individual strip joint incident, wasn't DUIs or toking weed. This was on the field cheating. I think the Patriots got off light. It should cost them the entire 2008 draft (and their picks given up to the league in a lottery), and I also think Bilichick should be suspended at least 4 games.
I will say this: if this had occurred in Dallas, the penalties would have been worse and the sports media wouldn't have been so "let's put this behind us."
