When the Cowboys report to training camp on July 22 in Oxnard, Calif., several questions will still need to be answered.

The staff writers at DallasCowboys.com – Rowan Kavner, David Helman, Nick Eatman and Bryan Broaddus – will attempt to answer these questions before the start of training camp. The questions will vary in importance, with the most pressing topics getting brought up in the days closest to camp.

Today, the staff tries to predict which defensive linemen will make a dramatic jump, similar to George Selvie’s season a year ago.

    12) Which D-Lineman Will Break Out Like Selvie In 2013?

Whoah. dexternjack delivers on Gardeners' exclusive offseason workout footage. Good stuff.

He's got to work on that footwork, though.

I don't get all caught up in the measurables. If a guy can play then he can play. Sometimes people get too worried about measurables instead of looking at production and heart. Gardner is a smart, hard nosed kid that I think is going to be a steal.

I agree but with all the great intangibles this kid has the only big flaw I heard was short arms.
We get him in the 7th?

Lawrence will get every chance to prove he can play. I also think Melton is chomping at the bit and has a lot of money riding on a bounce back year. I'm rooting for Ben Gardner and Amobi Okoye.

I'd be stoked if Selvie could play like Selvie again.

Hoping it's Tyrone Crawford though with all the hype he's been getting. I need to see something from him soon or else he's going to be another mythological player created by off-season hype ala Matt Johnson.
