http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2011/04/detroit_lions_have_very_specif.html One guy who stands out from the crowd is Edmond Gates of Abilene Christian, who ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at the scouting combine despite a minor groin injury. There are some off-field questions that teams want answered with Gates, who had a rough upbringing, but there have been no red flags so far. A couple of other receivers who might be in the mix because of their strong showings at the combine are Kentucky's Randall Cobb and Fort Valley State's Richardo Lockette, who also ran a 4.37 at the combine (tying Gates for the fastest time among receivers). Lockette does have those small-school concerns, but he was recruited by a couple of SEC schools, including Auburn. Cobb doesn't have quite the blazing speed as the other two (4.46) but he might be the most complete package.
