I understand the idea about flexing up the Bengals/Jets game but now they have one very huge game that they could have moved up instead.

It was a bad decision to start with, and undeniably worse now.

It will probably look even worse come Sunday night when Jordan Palmer, not Carson, is starting at QB.

There was suppose to be issues with equipment both for Fox and NBC that prevented them from switching out for a sunday night game.

Sounds like an official way of NBC saying, "****!" :)

Apparently they needed to catch up on AFC games b/c of the TV deals, but this is going to be embarassing for the NFL.

I wish people would stop crying about this Sunday night game. Leave this game where it is. I am tired of waiting all day for cowboy games. Also tired of staying up til past midnight. I am glad we are playing at 4.

+1 Even after flexing the CBS game, NBC has still covered 3 more FOX games than CBS games, which will need to even out by 2013. But yes, Eagles-Cowboys would definitely have been a much better game in terms of hype, star power, ratings, everything.

My complaints are more about Jordan Palmer vs Mark Sanchez

However, the Cincinnati-New York game wins in the category of most likely to see someone eat a hotdog on the sideline.

Dallas & Philly would be > Cincy & Jets ratings-wise. IMHO. What's really on the line in the Cincy Jets game? The freaking NFC EAST is on the line for our game. And Dallas games get ratings. Big time. Lovers and haters. America's team.

    Epic Fail on their part.

It's almost comical. At least I'm freed to do something else next Sunday night (like celebrate, maybe?).

isnt there a cap on how many prime time games a team can have? i think thats the main reason they didnt flex next weeks game.

Yeah, Mickey said that NBC wouldn't have time to setup their equipment after Fox covers the Cotton Bowl which is at 2 PM the day before. It might not have been the deciding factor but may have been a point Fox raised to try and keep the game.

No, both the Cowboys and Eagles are under the limit.

I thought there was a rule that you could only be flexed to the SNF game once a season? Could be wrong.

Even bigger than that, a playoff bye will be in play.

Yes, but only through week 16. All bets are off, and no rules apply for week 17. Any game can be flexed.
