    y SCHUYLER DIXON — Aug. 13 9:03 PM EDT

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — Miles Austin wishes he'd kept a journal of how he felt during each of his eight training camps with the Dallas Cowboys.

Austin hasn't missed any time because of hamstrings that not only slowed him in camp the past two years but eventually took away his standing as Tony Romo's top target. The 29-year-old hasn't been as flashy in California as Dez Bryant, Romo's new No. 1. But he's been a steady presence, especially in the slot.

More importantly, Austin's only idle time in camp has been the routine break given to players with his experience.

"Don't miss any games," Austin said when asked about his goals for 2013. "Don't miss any time. Stay healthy. Play at a high level. Be a deciding factor in winning some of the games this year."

It would be a big boost to this offense if Miles can stay healthy. The guy is a game changer when healthy

I seem to remember him changing his workout routine in the offseason...am I right with that?

If he did, it seems to be working.

I think he was changing his stride to move is center of balance forward and put less torque on his hammies, if possible.

When Miles is healthy and can run, this offense looks totally different.

Was something about less or lower weights when squating I think. He and a couple other players talked about changing up how they lifted in the off season as it related to his legs. Not trying to lift as heavy.

Austin and Dez both healthy for 16 games.

Let that sink in for a couple of minutes.
