And WHEN we lose, the 'sun'll come out tomorrow' crowd will have a laundry list of excuses at the ready to defend yet another loss and another year of futility.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

    He's trying to sell.

Sell hope where there is none.

Sell change when he can't bring himself to actually change anything.

Sell tickets and merchandise to suckers willing to pay for it.

Each individual must make up his or her mind what to do with their time and money.

If you feel that Jerry and this team are worth yours, you have that right. If you feel they aren't worth it, don't support it.

Can we win more than 8 freakin' games, win the division and make the playoffs first?

Jerry spouts off about the SB every year and all it does is create more media. He loves the spotlight that's for sure. What happened to Garrett's philosophy about one day at a time, one game at a time. I thought they were working together? smh.

    Absolutely!

Of course the following has to fall into place:
    • Tony Romo has to recover from his back injury and remain healthy throughout the season.
    • D-Ware must recover fro all his ailments and play like the D-Ware of 2011.
    • The Cowboys need to find at least three day-one starters in the draft; two on defense.
    • Bass and Crawford need to stay healthy and become solid rotational players.
    • Bruce Carter has to develop.
    • Sean Lee has to stay on the field.
    • J.J. Wilcox has to develop.
    • Claiborne has to develop.
    • Dallas needs a solid backup at WR (if Austin is released) to play behind Dez and Williams.
    • JG has to master the art of game management.
    • The OC needs to commit to the running game.
    • The entire team needs to stay healthy.
    • All other teams must suffer major catastrophes with their rosters.
This is what Jerry is referring to when he says the Cowboys can compete for a SB. :D

this is a big joke the cowboys are not going to compete for a super bowl anytime soon their defense is to bad and they don't run the ball enough they are a middle of the road team with middleof the road players and coaches all coach jones wants to do is feed his ego I think they will more than likely with the schedule they play this year win 4 or 5 games so I don't get excited about any thing they do now.

“You could probably say that if not seeing the stop signs means denial, then I’m in denial,” Jones said. “The facts are that I see them, but I don’t see them. I know why they are there. I’m talking about the 8-8, but I don’t see them.”

Is this what you want your GM saying? That he's in denial?

So he sees the warnings, the issues that the team has. But he just chooses to ignore them?

I started out by defending Jerry Jones. Then it became just ignoring him. Now it's to the point where the numbers just don't lie. This guy is our biggest problem.

Gotta love JJ 20 plus of mediocrity and he still doesn't get it. Tear it down and let's rebuild this team.

I like your list but would say JG doesn't need to master the art of game management. He just needs to get slightly competent enough to not outright give away 1-3 games per year.
