Nothing wrong with a little Kraft American on your sandwich..
There will be a few more lower tier players I'm sure....just no more of this magnitude
Hopefully they will be depth in a rotation. (I think they will) But I think both are better than the guys they were forced to start last year. (Hayden and Selvie) Maybe not a lot better but we'll see with Marinelli coaching them up.
If you go to over the cap and look at the #52 and #53 salaries, you will see that they were $495k each. So 990k came off, 2100000 was added. The net is 1,110,000. A $10k difference. Whay are you arguing so hard over $10k?
Now don't you guys feel a little silly for overreacting to these signings?
Totally agree. Even if Jones doesn't pull a guy like Peppers out of a hat, it very realistic to think the line is Marinelli's wave attack with a group like this -
DE - Crawford, Mincey, Jeffcoat (3rd round)
DT - Hatcher, Hayden, McClain
DT - Donald (1st round), Bass
DE - Selvie, Mincey, 4th Round Pick
i would have held out for sargento.
Sargento's expensive. Clearly we're not shopping in that market.
There was fuss over a 2 year contract?
That's the way I see it.
It just shows you the quality of the players that they would pounce on these kinds of deals in the 2nd day of FA.
Only fools think that signing big names for top dollar in the early days of FA is a wise business practice.
I think in this 4-3, McClain is better better than Hayden.
