i've asked this several times in conversations over the last few days but i don't recall an answer that really...answered the question.

    is sharing the wealth socalistic?

is his wife saying someone have to give up a piece of the pie to get universal health care socalistic?

i'm not attacking bush with this, i'm not defending mccain. i'd like for us to do what we want the politicians to do - talk the issues w/o blowing off the question with a "you're scarier than me!" reply.

are his policies socialistic? again, please keep this to talking about obama's policies, and not anyone elses in diversion.

How is fair best described by the man? Take (By force) from one group and give to the other. Brilliant!!!

    Is fair biased now?

    Stoopid!!!

I don't fall under the 250K/year group but you can bet your butt I'm not gonna be motivated to reach that mark anymore. Guess what everyone else is thinking now....

The top tax bracket will return to where it was under the Reagan Administration. Unless you think Reagan's tax policies constituted socialism, the answer is a resounding no.

    I am sorry universal health care is a socialistic concept;

Taxes in themselves are not socialistic redistributing the wealth as he states is.

    I hope so.

Fact of the matter is social security, military, public education, public police force, and single payer universal healthcare are all socialist policies. There is nothing wrong with socialism. There is something wrong with pure socialism just like there is something wrong with pure capitalism. A society needs both capitalism and socialism. Too much of either is bad.

The problem is the word socialism has become a bad word in our society, which has led to the extreme capitalism we are experiencing today.

    Ding Ding Ding.

McCain needs to turn in his Medicare card if he's totally against it. Gov Palin needs to bill everybody in Alaska about $3,000 for their Oil checks if she is against it.

Are we talking about policies, or are we talking about off-the-cuff comments to random people on the campaign trail? There's a difference. There's also a difference between "share the wealth," which he didn't say, and "spread the wealth," which he did say ... but I've no interest in the semantic argument.

    Well, which policies?

So you consider Mitt Romney socialist? And almost every single one of our NATO and NAFTA allies? Methinks your definition of "socialistic" is a bit off.

Every tax is a redistribution of the wealth. The question is who it gets distributed to and from - and that's the definition of politics itself: the process by which it is determined who gets what, when, and how.

This comment is one of the lamest attempts to defend wealth redistribution I have ever read. You can't be serious with this argument. Tell me you are smarter than that and have a better grasp of history and reality then you are displaying.

This is your honest defense of wealth redistribution? How the heck is Obama winning? Now we know. People like you.

You are grounded! Go to your room and study your history books please. Then you come back and have a adult conversation.

    Yes they are.
The whole spread the wealth thing is a dead giveaway.
From each according to his ability to each according to his needs.

Why tax the rich even more?
Are the Obamas going to tax themselves based on existing wealth or based on their presidential salary?
They want to spread your wealth, not theirs.
Socialism is not the American way.

It should be a bad word. Look how well the stupid people in congress have done with their overbearing regulation. Capitalism is being crushed by a bunch of power hungry liberals in DC. They want you to be reliant to the government for your every need.

They hate people who do well financially because they have much less power over them. That is why they punish them with with insane tax levels. They will do anything to get and maintain power. The more people are dependant on government the more the government controls them. Look no further than the 48% of the people who pay no income tax. Why wouldn't vote for more "free" stuff paid for by others. The poor play into the hands of liberals like cows into the slaughterhouse. Pathetic cows not knowing they are dead no matter what.
