Really? Whos better on the skins then? And I mean not obviously better like Portis. Who edges out a Cowboy's player by a thin margin that you don't mind admitting???

I'd say that Chris Samuels is currently playing better than Flozell Adams - for starters.

Well actually, I just refuted his inherently wrong point that Witten is a better downfield threat. I wasn't trying to prove that Cooley is THAT much better downfield. He is roughly equal but he's better at YAC.

    Chris Samuels over Flozell
    Randy Thomas over Leonard Davis
    Casey Rabach over Gurode

    then Portis

hmmm, that's all I can think of

Our entire line is head and shoulders above yours. It's pretty obvious to anyone out there. How about Sellers vs. Hoyt or Polite?

Have you presented any evidence frm scouts that quantify Cooley as better than Witten?

If not, stop being irrelevent. If you can manage. You don't like the number, sally. I understand that. That doesn't make it wrong. Witten grades out better.

attempts / receptions. Witten grades out higher every year.

He started nine games. Even if you extrapolate it out, he doesn't equal Witten. You can't ignore Witten's finest year just to make Cooley look better, no matter how much you want to.

Quit spinning, and start posting any sort of evidence where Cooley grades out better than Witten.

your LG sucks, and your RT is average, only 3 of your starters are better than our's

Sellers over Hoyte then too, yay, you have a better FB!

    No you didn't, Norman.

And you didn't even bother addressing the fact that roughly a third of Cooley's receptions come on passes thrown BEHIND the LOS.

Witten doesn't even approach that ratio.

Cooley's a fantastic H-back. Savor that made-up position. He's the finest in the league.

Yay, the Redskins have a player that's the best at something!

IMO we are pretenders until we get a playoff win. Until then I don't see how you can call them Superbowl contenders.

No, my deciding factors are, in this order. Yards, TDs, YPC, intangibles.

Yards are roughly equals, with a very slight edge to Witten.
TDs are massively in Cooley's favor.
YPC this season goes to Cooley but overall, a very slight edge to Witten.
Intangibles, Cooley breaks more tackles and is a threat from anywhere on the field. Witten, as I'm told, has better hands.

So again, just because he has 50 more yards, I won't be stupid and put some check-mark on has more yards, he wins. Nor do I do that with TDs. It's just the difference between the two categories that seals it in my mind.

you forgot receptions, which is the #1 category

you don't have 1st downs either

    Witten averages 708 yards a year, Cooley...607

Oh, Jon Jansen is average huh? How many sacks did he let up? And our LG is Todd Wade, who, in the only action he saw, didn't give up a single sack against Will Smith and paved the road for 211 yards from Betts. Try again.
